5.0 out of 5 stars Safe teether!
Although it's not advertised on the packaging, customer service at Sassy promises that this teether is PVC, phthalate, and BPA free. (the rep indicated that they don't advertise these safety standards because they want you to call to confirm that each product is still safe at the time it is purchased) Great news!

3.0 out of 5 stars Could be better.
I love the look of this toy, but my little one (7 months and going on her 3rd tooth) loves the noise of other toys more. This one doesn't hold her attention. I wish it had a bean inside or something to make it also a rattle. It also isn't supposed to go in the freezer, so wouldn't hold the cold very long. Not an A+ do everything teether, but definitely an attractive...

5.0 out of 5 stars Her favorite teether!, December 25, 2009
This review is from: Sassy Flutterby Teether Developmental Toy (Baby Product)
Being a new Grandma I decided to try out a few teethers for my new granddaughter. After trying several I finally hit upon this winner! As soon as she sees me go to the freezer she starts getting excited. I hold the Flutterby up and she reaches out for it and yells, which is her new trick to let me know she wants something, and grabs onto the black & white ring. Although she does like staring at the big black eyes she won't stop chewing on the frozen wings. I'm so glad I finally found a teether that she enjoys. Highly recommend this teether!

5.0 out of 5 stars OK, January 9, 2010

Not her favorite but ok, my baby likes to play with it for w while. Just be careful if you are a germ freak like me and do not sterilize it in a boiling water because if deforms a little bit.

My 7-month old son loves to chew on this teether. It is easy to grip and hold and the wings fit in his mouth easily.

I bought this little teether bug for my son for xmas when he was 5 months old, and he loved it. Even now at almost 10 months old he still chews on it and carries it around with with him. Its easy for him to hold and has different textures to soothe teething, sore gums.

Butterflies are not just for girls. My son adores his butterfly chew toy. This is a sturdy toy. After I received it I realized just how much so. The antennae and wings are not coming off this thing....my 4 year old already tried that. LOL Alot of chew toys are made of weird tasting and smelling rubber stuff. This one isn't....no smell....no taste. Thank you chew toy Gods! In regards to size......I have a medium sized hand and it fits in my hand (opened). Great sized for a baby to hang on to, hard to loose, too.

My baby is starting to teeth and he likes gnawing on this toy as well as stare at the different colors. Works well cold or frozen. Definitely a go-to if your baby is starting to teeth.

2.0 out of 5 stars Loved it, but then it fell apart, January 27, 2012

I was excited to buy this teether as a Christmas gift for my 10 month old. Sassy products have traditionally held up and been a good experience in the past. This is not the case with this teether. The black and white handle FALLS APART after being munched on by a teething baby - after a couple of weeks of gnawing on it, there were little black pieces falling off of it in to her mouth. NOT GOOD! I would not buy this product unless Sassy redesigns that handle, otherwise, you're going to have a tot mouth full of black plastic/rubber bits.
