Also we agree that the spoon is too flat.
K. Phillips
The internal containers do leak a little but we never had the external container leak, (we don't put liquids in, but our jarred peaches leaked).
Felicia
The containers are just the right size for sandwiches, and other little snacks.

It has the oddest flat little spoon. We never use it. But the rest of this is PERFECT and we use it for on the go meals (when we don't think that we will be eating somewhere healthy enough for our 11 month old) or when they go to grandma's house and stay overnight. Perfect. It fits right inside our LLBean lunchbag and stays nice and cool. The separate containers allow me to heat up what needs to be heated and keep things like fruit cold. Great product. I have NO PROBLEMS with the lids staying on or getting them on and off. I also have no leaking issues. These work great and I get tons of compliments!

I love the concept of this product, unfortunately the containers are not water tight, so everything leaks out. It can be horribly messy and smelly.

We take this on trips to pour homemade food into for feeding, rather tahn dip into larger container and contaminate the whole batch.
Lids have stayed on snugly on our set. Wash in dishwasher using a top rack basket. BPA free according to the manufacturer.

I bought this from Babies R Us. I really really need divided travel plates with lids. I thought this would work. However, some lids were hard to remove and others easily removed. The lids don't have a rubber grip or anything, so I could tell one container might leak. The other container with the tight lid was so tight and did not have a thumb pull or bigger 'lipped' side to ull up on. I new I would end up turning it sideways to open and then spill when opened. Plus, the sheer tought of keeping track of all the lids made me cringe. I am returning it because it's too expensive for so many headaches. I am STILL looking for a good alternate and might try the Tikes Turtle divider plate with lid instead.

My toddler takes this to nursery school for lunch. She loves her lunchbox. I love that the inner compartments can all be lidded - so I can pack a little yogurt or pudding without worrying about it leaking. I can cram in a half sandwich, some pretzels, a little yogurt, and almost a full cut-up kiwi fruit. That's enough food for her, and sometimes even too much.

This is my go-to favorite lunch container for preschool-sized bento meals. I have been using the same container for more than two years and it has held up wonderfully under abuse, washing in the dishwasher (hubby even washed in on the bottom rack a few times, gasp!), baking for weeks in a hot car, etc. I can't say as much for my bento-specific containers, which cost much more. The integrated divider is a wonderful touch, since you don't have to worry about it being inadvertently thrown away or mangled by the dishwasher.

This holds plenty of food for a 2-4 year old. I often use the smaller containers separately for extra snacks. The lids are a bit tight and may be difficult for some small kids to open by themselves. I agree with the other reviewers that the included spoon isn't worth much at all. In addition, keep in mind that this is not water-tight or intended for messy, liquidy foods; because the divider doesn't reach all the way to the lid, small items may spill over it as well. It works great for my purposes, though (most common meal: half a pb&j sandwich, grapes, and baby carrots).

I agree that the lids of the small containers were way too hard to take off, BUT I figured out how to do it. Press hard on the opposite longer sides and the lids pop off easily. Have your husband do them all several times in a row as soon as you get it, and then you should be able to do it after that with no problem.

I bought this to make bento box lunches. Don't tell my husband and grown son that they're eating from a toddler snack set!

I read reviews that the spoon is fairly useless; it was very flat. That wasn't as big an issue for me as the size of the compartments. They didn't quite fit a full 4oz. container of Stage 2 fruits/veggies in the smaller compartments. There was left over and it would make the lids really messy. You can't remove the smaller containers to put a baby food container in it's place because of the size/shape of this set. I got the laptop lunch boxes instead and they fit a baby food container (Gerber plastic 4oz. ones) with the lid removed and fit substantially more food...though only one compartment has a lid on that brand. If you want something that will last into toddler years, for yourself, or something that can hold enough for breakfast and lunch combined...don't get this one. My ideal would have been one of the Bento boxes but I couldn't confirm the safety of the plastic those are made with. The laptop lunches are made with plastic I am more comfortable with.
