5.0 out of 5 stars Another great Sassy product
I really like these spoons for two reasons:
(1) Food doesn't fall off before it gets to child's mouth
(2) Innovative design is safer for baby. My 6 month old would rather play with and chew on the spoon that eat. With the long, straight design spoons, I worry that he'll stab his throat or choke. Not so with this spoon!

3.0 out of 5 stars not bad
it wasn't what I expected, was a little harder for 9 month old baby to put in month, as far as less mess, I think it's the same with any other spoon; it just depends on your child's coordination.

5.0 out of 5 stars satisfied mom, June 14, 2001

this spoon is the only one that keeps my little one from getting frustrated and losing interest when self feeding. the food actually stays on the spoon long enough for him to place it successfully into his mouth without food slipping down and him getting upset because of it. plus the curve of the spoon provides just the right angle for him to hold it and enter his mouth as he turns his wrist. other spoons which have a straight handle cannot do the job. it takes too long to reach their mouths and food falls right out. hooray for sassy once again! other manufacturers should follow their example on this one.

I was surprised that a spoon with holes would hold food, but it does! I mean, when she eats cheerios in milk, obviously the milk leaks through but she gets a spoonfull of food when she eats which is nice. It works best on thick things like pasta, potatoes, not necessarily on completely dry items (like dry cheerios, etc.)

I try to write short reviews so people don't lose interest. I think all I really have to say is that at 18 months, my daughter STILL wouldn't feed herself, she never tried it much. Usually she would just whine and cry until I fed her. Months of struggle, irritation, worry that she wasn't developing as she should and annoyance passed. I gave her this spoon, she fed herself, and never looked back. BRAVO! I highly recommend these to everyone! I bought more two days after having the first set!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Food actually stays on!, February 22, 2007
This review is from: Sassy 2 Pack Baby Less Mess Toddler Spoon, Colors May Vary (Baby Product)
After trying just about every toddler spoon out there, we got these for our 20 month old. She gets so frustrated when the food falls off before it reaches her mouth, but with these the food stays on! Finally eating is becoming less of a battle and she is really taking an interest. Great product for self feeding!

5.0 out of 5 stars Toddler spoons, February 13, 2008

These spoons are easy for my two and a half year old, twin granddaughters to use. They are able to glide the food from their plate to the spoon. Because of the design, the food stays in the spoon, giving them a sense of accomplishment and independence.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Spoons for Toddlers, November 2, 2007

This review is from: Sassy 2 Pack Baby Less Mess Toddler Spoon, Colors May Vary (Baby Product)
Our Occupational Therapist recommended these spoons for our 19 month old twin boys. They were having a hard time with all of the other spoons on the market, but figured this one out right away. They are perfect for eating Cheerios, yogurt, applesauce, etc. Due to the holes in the spoon, the food is able to stay on easier without sliding off. The handle is curved perfectly for little toddler hands to grasp. I went out and bought spoons for all of my friends with toddlers. They are hard to find.

This spoon is the only one I have found that has a curved handle, making it easy for my 18 month old to independently feed herself. She can't scoop as well with the gerber spoons like she can with the sassy spoon.

My six-month old daughter loves these spoons. The yellow and blue colors keep her interested while im feeding her. The curved shape make them easy for me to hold and then manuver it into her mouth. It's nice that two come in a pack.
