5.0 out of 5 stars Must Read - Single or Married
In this easy read book you'll find spiritual guidance in mini excerpts, preceded by referenced scripture. It aspired me to recognize my "flaws" and know that "I" have them. Learn to better myself, to "let go" of the past and "let God" handle whatever the issues are at His own will. It reaffirmed my daily mediations that I am on...

3.0 out of 5 stars Made the mistake of judging the book by its cover...
The title would lead you to believe that this is a book about being content and satisfied while being single. I found this to not be the case. While there were a few good points made, this is basically yet another wait-for-a-mate book disguised as a satisfied singles' book. This is not necessarily a bad book, I just think the title does not fit the content. I like...

5.0 out of 5 stars Must Read - Single or Married, January 27, 2004

This review is from: Sassy, Single, and Satisfied: Secrets to Loving the Life You're Living (Paperback)
In this easy read book you'll find spiritual guidance in mini excerpts, preceded by referenced scripture. It aspired me to recognize my "flaws" and know that "I" have them. Learn to better myself, to "let go" of the past and "let God" handle whatever the issues are at His own will. It reaffirmed my daily mediations that I am on the right track - know that those things I think I "want" are not necessarily what I "need," to have wholesome, healthy relationships.

Ladies, all struggle through the "trials and tribulations" and "joys and pains" of venus-mars relationships. This book is not only for "single divas," it's a must read for "married divas" too. If you want a mate but the Lord hasn't blessed you yet, first, find out who you are and what you must do to love yourself and the life you're living. If you're already in a relationship but it is fragmented, seek through these excerpts how God's word can strength you and your mate together to build a stronger, and hopefully, a long-lasting relationship that can endure the test of times.

Michelle writes:
"love is not about what you can get. . . it's about what you give. Remember above all things that Jesus is the Lover of your soul which is where all love begins and ends."

Whether single or married, you're never alone when you revel in the presence of God's grace and mercy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally a book that is Bible oriented!!!, May 28, 2005

This review is from: Sassy, Single, and Satisfied: Secrets to Loving the Life You're Living (Paperback)
I bought this book a couple of weeks ago and read through it within 2 days. However I still read through it to refresh my memory and highlight things I missed. This book has changed my perspective that being single is not a curse but a blessing. The book has also changed my life and daily routines. I am more excited about life and what God has in store me. I know longer think about the future or question why I am single, because now I know, and I'm loving it. I can't wait to read more of her books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sounds familiar!, August 1, 2003

This review is from: Sassy, Single, and Satisfied: Secrets to Loving the Life You're Living (Paperback)
Wow! I just couldn't put this book down. It was as though the author took a peek into my own life story. She touched upon just about every topic that I'm dealing with right now in my life. I particularly liked the item where she asks the question, "what type of man are you look for?" and she lists the different categories that one's ideal mate might fall into. I also liked that she encourages single women to continue living productive lives instead of sitting around the house waiting for Mr. Right to show up in order to complete their lives; not put their lives on hold because they are single. God has a plan for all of us and that includes matching us up with the right mate have we the patience to wait rather than lose faith and hope. Her theories and ideas really make sense when you think about it. I would definitely recommend this book not only to single women but also to married women. Trust me it wouldn't hurt.

McKinney Hammond must have had this work edited by the Master Consultant prior to the book's publication. The book is powerful and grounded in solid biblical principles that will help women truly understand, appreciate, and enjoy the wonderful place in life we call "Singlehood." The author eloquently explains how God wants women to embrace their lives as is; learn the lessons He wants to teach us; and follow His will. This is a great book. Simply phenomenal.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bible oriented help for the single woman....., December 2, 2005
This review is from: Sassy, Single, and Satisfied: Secrets to Loving the Life You're Living (Paperback)
This book was a great help to me in my life. I am going through a period of singleness, and this book opened my eyes. You don't have to accept "anything" just for the sake of having a man. You are a gift, and whoever you choose to be with has found something good, and they should feel lucky! GREAT BOOK!!!!!

This book is a must for any Single Woman. After reading this book, "I feel like going on!" Michelle is definitely an inspiration used by God to deliver an awesome message to His people. This is an excellent starter book for a new Singles Ministry program.

5.0 out of 5 stars Down to the soul and kidneys good!, February 26, 2007

This review is from: Sassy, Single, and Satisfied: Secrets to Loving the Life You're Living (Paperback)
I am currently making my way through this publication (the second I have read by Ms. Hammond) and I feel absolutely blessed to have been referred to her writings by a colleague. The thing I am so glad about is how she explains the "why" of a thing. For instance, we know from Jehovah God's word that fornication and adultery are wrong. Yet, she tells what happens emotionally and physically when we allow ourselves to be used and abused in that manner. She goes beyond the "don't do this" of a thing.

I have been recommending her works to everyone (particularly women) that will listen. Her books coupled with God's word, the Bible have been my constant companion this month and I am sure even after I am done reading them they will take their place in my library, in my living room, where I can refer to them again-and-again as necessary.

This review is from: Sassy, Single, and Satisfied: Secrets to Loving the Life You're Living (Paperback)
This book is a true blessing in my life, sent from God above. If I could give this book a million stars, I would!! I encourage everyone to buy and read this book, and take it to heart. Not only is this book words of encouragement for people who are older and single, but it also encourages the younger crowd that is seeking a closeness with God. I happen to be apart of this group. This book is for everyone of all ages. Even those who have been in relationships before and find themselves single again. Also, for those that wish to prepare themselves for that special someone that is God sent! I urge you to read this book, it will open your eyes!
