doesn't vibrate,

This was recommended by Parents magazine, so I did not look at reviews and just bought it. Actually, I bought it twice because the first shipment ended up covered in the snowbank & I forgot I ordered it already. Well, neither worked.
The first vibrated for the first hour or so. The second just arrived & it won't vibrate at all. I used another vibrating star teether for my first son from First Years, but that's was hard for him to get to work. I had higher hopes for this one. Nope. And I ordered another one from Leapfrog that also arrived today - that doesn't vibrate either. A good concept, if someone could make one that works well.

Not what I expected...,
This review is from: Sassy Vibrating Teether Developmental Toy (Baby Product)
I purchased this teether at Target about a month ago for my daughter who was 5 months old. I thought I was missing something... I looked and looked for a button or directions but for the life of me I could NOT get the teether to vibrate. Then after pushing and squeezing it for quite awhile it finally began vibrating, but now it would not stop! Once I messed with it some more it finally turned off but now does not work at all again. So confusing! Also, it is strange that some of the bubbles have no fluid in them. My daughter seemed very uninterested in it anyway so I guess it was no great loss.

This teether is great my grandson loves it. The downfall is that when the batteries die you can't replace them and it is a bit tough to get the thing to vibrate, with our help he is happy.

No water in the top three bubbles,
This review is from: Sassy Vibrating Teether Developmental Toy (Baby Product)
I bought this at Target and was SO unhappy with it. The packaging covers the top three holes-so I didn't realize that those three didn't come with fluid in them. I had given it to my baby and thought the fluid inside had come out-causing me to get nervous and worried, but after calling both Target and Sassy, I figured out there wasn't water to begin with. The top three holes have little beads in them too, it feels weird to push on them, like there should be water in there or it will hurt when the baby is gumming it. I really wasn't happy with the produt overall. In my opinion, there are a lot better options out there.

Requires more pressure than a child's jaw can manage,

Inside the packaging, it was very sensitive but, once we unwrapped it, the sensitivity was gone. I could barely get the thing to vibrate when I bit down on it and the only way my daughter could use it was to hold it in her teeth while I used manual pressure to activate the mechanism. The only recommendation I can make for this product is that it be taken off the market until it can do what it claims it will.

Mine vibrated, just not for long,
This review is from: Sassy Vibrating Teether Developmental Toy (Baby Product)
I bought this toy for my son at a Carter's outlet. I like the rattle balls, though mine is only inside the three smallest parts. The other three are full of a liquid that freezes nicely when baby needs something hard and cold to compress those sore gums onto. Those aspects are great.
The vibrator is great too, and my boy (at about 5 months) could get it to vibrate all on his own. He seemed to really like it and was curious about the cause and effect relationship going on. But after about a month of use the vibrator stopped working. I wish there was a way to replace the battery (as I'm sure that's what the problem is). I understand exactly why they don't have small screws on a chew toy like this. So I don't think there is a way to fix it, but it's just too bad it won't last you too long.

Sassy Vibrating Teether Developmental Toy
I was hesitant about buying this vibrating teether because of the negative reviews about it not working or breaking right away, but I have to say I really like this teether and we have had no problems with it. My 6 month old grandson loves the vibrating teether's a lot. They feel good on his gums and I've bought about five or six for my grandson and granddaughter. The Sassy teether is very colorful with the red, white and pink circle and it has floating beads in the liquid parts. The vibration is not to strong either so it doesn't scare him and it is not rough on his sensitive gums. I only wish there was a better selection of vibrating teether's out there. The only reason I gave it four stars is because I keep waiting for it to break. So far so good. We love it in our household!

I bought this for my son at 3months. He was never particularly interested in it. The little beads inside move to each circle. Squeezing the circles that have water in them sets off the vibration. It worked fine the first day. The second day found the toy would not stop vibrating on its own. The third it no longer vibrated. At 6 months he now occasionally uses it as a teether with different texture on each circle.
