I was excited when I heard upcoming album Leætherstrip coming out, something new, something fresh, something that didn't sound like the "carry me" single. What a big let down when I realized it was only a sort of trilogy in the "Best of Claus Larsen music experience" I am not actually surprised with the Cleopatra release, they are all about making a quick buck from old material. Don't get me wrong I have been a Leæther strip since before I can remember, but there was enough best of albums - Best of Leæther strip, Retrospective, Double or Nothing and even the YIL releases. If you where sleeping under a rock for the last 10 years, this might be a good introduction to hellectro - Hocico, Suicide Commando, Psyclone 9... There are some really strong tracks on the album and span all across most of the albums, even the Klute tracks where a big added bonus. A really good album for a newbie to the Industrial scene, just not really a good album for a long time Claus fan. The cover art is also horribly done it just seems like it belong next to some awful metal release in the Tower cd store near you. For now we can just wait for a new 2005 release..

If you do NOT have any of the other Leaether Strip CD's, then grab this one. Well worth it if you do NOT have his older releases. Otherwise there is nothing new here... Just re-releases of older cd's. It is a good collection without a doubt, but as said in the other review, its been done before. I do believe this is probably the best, Best of... I have every other one as well, and I do think that every single track on this collection is very good. No bad songs here... Though My two personal favorates are Reberth of Agony, and Retrospective.... for anyone looking for more. If you don't know Leaether Strip, and looking for a first, Buy this. It is probably one of the best Industrial/EBM cd's out there...and pardon the argument of what industrial is....Look it up if you are not sure. I feel you can not go wrong with this cd.. .Unless, you own every single other one.

Although I have known about leather strip for about 2-3 years this was my second album of theirs and I could not be more happy. I have listened to this album so many times its not even funny. The second cd is better than the first in my opinion and plus the albums art work is amazing AND amazon is currently selling this for 90 cents.....GET IT NOW!!

Owning most of their material, this looks like a pretty good collection, but the omission of Adrenaline Rush, probably their biggest hit is almost unpardonable. So, not a bad collection if you don't own any leatherstrip, but it's missing some good tracks.
