5.0 out of 5 stars Works perfectly!
Really like this remote! Works perfectly with my Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50. Focuses fairly quickly. Actually takes decently focused pictures without hitting focus button first, so long as your camera is in "continuous auto-focus" mode. This speeds up the process a bit if you need the ability to take a quick picture remotely in order to capture a moment or facial...

2.0 out of 5 stars Works... temporarily
This unit worked wonderfully for about 6 months. The case is very cheap plastic and overall the product is poorly made.

Actually takes decently focused pictures without hitting focus button first, so long as your camera is in "continuous auto-focus" mode. This speeds up the process a bit if you need the ability to take a quick picture remotely in order to capture a moment or facial expression. But still fairly quick even if you need to focus first. Great product!

5.0 out of 5 stars Satechi remote shutter release, July 6, 2008

The remote release works well with my Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ30. All features operate as noted in instructions. Literature needs to include info re battery and replacement of battery in transmitter. Service experience positive in every way.

5.0 out of 5 stars works and it's retro-stylish, June 27, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Satechi WR-D100 Wireless Camera Remote Control for Panasonic DMC-FZ30, DMC-FZ20, DMC-FZ50, DMC-FZ30K, DMC-FZ20K, DMC-FZ50K, DMC-FZ30S, DMC-FZ20S, DMC-FZ50S, LC-1, L1, DIGILUX 2, DIGILUX 3 fully compatible with DMW-RS1 (Electronics)
Elegant little remote with telescoping antenna looks like a detonator out of a 1960s spy show. It isn't ergonomic, but it is cool in a retro Asian camera kind of way. There's not much to figure out, or configure - just make sure the receiver's cable jack is pushed all the way into the socket of the camera. Simple red LED confirms you have pushed the button. The only flaw is that the camera's automatic power-save must be turned off or it will stop reading the signal (which sounds like a camera issue). Seeing as how Panasonic no longer supports these cameras there doesn't seem to be any other option if you need to be more than a few feet from the camera (ie: self-portrait, or boom-mounted). I ordered direct from Satechi and it came very quickly.
