Product Description
Wireless RF (radio frequency) remote control for your SFully compatible to Nikon D90. Maximum operating range 100m. Compared to an infrared (IR) remote control, it allows you to operate the shutter from either direction/angle. It supports unique coding for anti-interference and avoiding wrong operation. 3 operations modes: At W Mode; the receiver is active, you can use the transmitter to control the shutter or focus. At O mode; the receiver will be a normal remote switch, and it will not consume any power. At L mode, the receiver will lock the shutter for long exposure (Bulb Mode).

There is not very much negative to say about this remote. It works exactly as you would expect it too and makes taking still shots so much easier. Also does away with setting the timer and running to get in the picture. It holds a charge for at least 2 of use so far and it is still on 4 bars so I am impressed with not having to recharge it often.

I have the Nikon IR unit and was not happy that it could (obviously) not be used from behind the camera. I bought this and I am really pleased with it. I experimented with a line of sight test and it tripped the shutter at 320'. They advertise 100 meters, so that more than as advertised.I really like the Satechi customer service. They followed up after delivery with a nice email asking if I received it and was satisfied with their service. I AM!! Thanks Satechi. Oh, and by the way, since the D7000 and the D90 have the same plug for this (the GPS attachment input), this unit works completely compatible with the newer D7000. Hopefully, Satchi will acknowledge this after their confirmation.
