Beautifully performed, September 10, 2010
I have heard quite a few recorded performances of the piano works of Erik Satie and these are BY FAR the best I've heard. Most other performances seem dull or rushed or too precise or... just as if the performer for some reason didn't quite grasp the subtleties involved in bringing a piano work by Satie to life. The dynamics and subtle touch of Yuji Takahashi's playing is remarkable. You just gotta hear it for yourself. I can't say it better than Yuji Takahashi played it.
