3.0 out of 5 stars Hot but dissapointed!
I had great expectations for this book as it started out wonderfully and grabbed my attention from the very first page. I loved the characters and thought it was well written but the bisexual m/m relationship ruined it for me. I realize that it may appeal to others but it just doesn't do it for me.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Satin Sash, December 1, 2009

Grey Richards had everything a man could want. The last piece of his life fell into place when he met Antonia Kearny. It was love at first sight for him, and he couldn't imagine his life without her. He had never been so happy, and for the corporate man rumored to not have any emotions or warmth, he couldn't stop smiling at his Toni from across a crowded room. He was constantly having to attend parties, but didn't mind so much knowing Toni would be by his side. It humbled him to realize how much he loved her. The bottom dropped out of his world when his partner and best friend, Heath Solis, said "your woman wants me".

Toni loved Grey to distraction, and was horrified to find herself incredibly drawn to Heath. She didn't know what to do with feelings previously reserved only for Grey. When Grey caught her in a compromising position with Heath, she was shocked to hear his suggestion of a ménage weekend in Cabo for them all. Toni was intrigued with the idea of a weekend with two men she was wholeheartedly attracted to. Heath was looking forward to his intimate time with Toni. He hadn't been able to get her out of his mind, and wasn't sure one weekend would be enough. Grey was the only one that didn't want the ménage to happen. He was consumed with jealousy, and the fear he was going to lose the woman he loved. He didn't want anyone else to touch her. He was making this concession to make Toni happy, and to hopefully get the idea of being with Heath out of her system. Grey's greatest worry was what the fallout would be from this clandestine weekend.

There is no shortage of heat in this read! The caliber of writing is so good you can feel the chemistry and emotion between Toni and both her men. This story draws you in from the very beginning, and will keep you so engaged, it will be hard to put it down. It is nicely balanced with steamy scenes and compelling story. That is always a winning combination. Highly recommended!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Tied Up In Love, January 17, 2010

This review is from: The Satin Sash (Kindle Edition)

I read Red Garnier's The Satin Sash in one night! I could not put this book down. Grey, Toni, and Heath are the hottest trio ever. Grey Richards is a rich, successful owner of a top company. He is firmly in love with Antonia Kearney and Heath Solis is his forever friend and business partner. When Heath touches Toni, intimately, at a party he recognizes her attraction to him and tells Grey that his woman wants him. Grey is shocked and angry, but his love for Toni compels him to give her anything she wants. Heath wants a menage and Grey comes to realize that Toni does too so he arranges a week in Cabo where the three can be together. What happens next sets the three on fire and the sex is smokin! However, Toni falls in love with Heath as well and the dynamics of her emotions reveal truths that Heath and Grey have never addressed. Heath is a loner who is bisexual and is used to sexual hook-ups with no strings or promises. He is thrown when he realizes the emptiness of his life and that he envies Grey having Toni in his life. Toni loves them both, but can she have them both? Also the bigger question is can a man who is as possessive of his woman as Grey is share her permanently? This book is so well written that I find myself thinking about the story weeks after having read it. The Satin Sash is a menage story about real, believable characters, a truly adult story with a plot so creatively crafted that I read this story as if I were watching a movie. The characters came to life and so did the entire story. I highly recommend The Satin Sash and if menage stories are your thing you will not be disappointed with this sexy and intriguing story.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best threesome books EVER!, February 15, 2010
By
This review is from: The Satin Sash (Paperback)
This book is bloody amazing. Seriously! There is a great deal of emotion and complication in this story. The sex is uber hot and the men are dark, brooding, lonely alpha's who are afraid to open their hearts to anyone. Grey the wealthy and sexy corporate raider, Heath his best friend and lone wolf, and Toni the woman who brings love, passion and want like they have never experienced into their lonely lives.

I friggin love this book. It is in my top three of all time favorites because of the emotions it evoked in me. I felt like I was in the story watching it unfold and feeling the passion and pain. This story isn't just blatant sex and with little story. The story is more compelling than the sex...well almost. :) It's hot and makes me hope that there are two hunky alpha's in the world that would love, cherish, and posses me like Grey and Heath.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wickedly Good!, December 30, 2009
This review is from: The Satin Sash (Paperback)
I was thrilled to death when Red Garnier asked me to read her first full single title THE SATIN SASH a couple of weeks ago! A new to me author I went right to her site to check out the blurb and what I was taken aback by was the deliciously sinful excerpt Red has posted on her site, it was most definitely the clincher for me. There are three main characters in The Satin Sash, We have Toni (Antonia), Grey and his best friend and business partner Heath, these three make up the most incredible triad and from the first page I was swept away. Heath you can call the bad boy, tall, dark and sexy as hell, almost bruttish in his manner, working his way up in this cruel world....in a word,....dangerous. With your heart that is, never taken to relationships with women, ever! He is stunned and obsessed with the fact that Grey has a woman who he has been dating for two years, knows that he is in love with her and it somewhat amuses him. Then one day, calling for Grey, Heath gets Toni instead on the phone... he is hypnotized by her voice, by her charm, knowing that he has to see her, bedding other women calling out her name, he is determined to have her. He MUST have her at any cost. And blatantly telling Grey that "Your woman, she wants me". I was shocked, that man had some kahones and he wasn't afraid to show them. Now Grey and Heath go back years and years, sharing women isn't something new to them, but Toni, she is different for Grey, he is in love and wants to marry her. Heath captures the satin sash that Grey gave Toni from around her neck and presents it to Grey, telling him he wants the sash! Which means if he is given the sash, Grey is giving him the green light to sleep with Toni. Grey is torn, he is stimulated by the idea coveted with jealous undertones as well but confronts Toni to find that she too is attracted to Heath. The three head to Mexico on a trip that Grey sets up and the fun begins. Heath and Toni are sizzling hot from the first moment they touch, every sexual act is spent in Grey's presents as well as the fact that he has given Heath a few rules to follow. No kissing being one of them. Toni's kisses are explosive and orgasmic and only meant for him! And him alone! No acceptations. A rule Heath finds hard to follow especially when Toni doesn't know the rule exists. They have one week, that is all Grey is offering, but there are so many things that he can not control. For one Toni's insatiable sexual appetite, which makes the pages sizzle as both Grey and Heath are more than pleased to please. And please they do. Not shy of his bisexuality and Grey's willingness was hot, hot, hot and only solidified in my mind the bond between the three lovers. But where there is heat, there are flames and someone is going to get burned. Taken away with their passion all three are transformed into a world of their own. But the week will end and reality will hit like a sledge hammer, and someone is bound to get hurt. I was shocked at how much I became to adore Heath. I honestly thought through the first few pages I wasn't going to like this guy, who did he think he was barging in on a solid relationship. Well, by midway through so many layers of who Heath and even Grey truly are was so eloquently put into words by Red that I was addicted to these two men, but I didn't see a happy ending in sight that would work for all three. What was wonderful was Toni, she was strong and emotional without being a dishrag or losing her femininity in the process she was blatant about her budding love for Heath. The emotional and sexually explosive week in Mexico proved to her in they could all find their own HEA back home. Grey, the light to Heath's dark, the old money, the family, his reputation in society and within the business world would be at stake and damn it if it wasn't jealous as hell. He wanted Toni, their week of sharing her with Heath was over and he was going to marry her. Through the emotionally exhilarating last chapters I once again felt Toni's strength in her love for the two men. Is it all worth the scandal their lives would becomes, especially Greys in his father's old money world, a friendship closer than brothers he has with Heath, is it worth forfeiting Toni's love because he couldn't have her all to himself? What was truly beautiful about this story was watching the three grow and come to terms with what they mean to each other, what love truly was all about. Together they made a whole and she couldn't and wouldn't be happy with just one of the other. But forced to make a choice on who to give her satin sash to ..... oh who will it be? And more to the point will he accept it after all they have been through? That is the real question!

5.0 out of 5 stars 5 Blue Ribbons from Romance Junkies!, January 22, 2010
This review is from: The Satin Sash (Paperback)
Readers who enjoy the ménage romance genre should flock to the stores for Red Garnier's latest, THE SATIN SASH. When Antonia relinquishes her red sash to Heath, will she and Grey's flaming hot relationship survive?

Grey Richards has finally found the woman for him. For most of his adult life, he was happy to stay in control around women. That part of his life ended the day he met Antonia Kearny. Antonia is everything he could desire in a woman - she is funny, intelligent, sexy, and willing to do anything he wants in the bedroom. Nothing is taboo with Antonia, and Grey counts himself as one of the luckiest men alive. Then he sees her look at his best friend Heath Solis at a party.

Heath Solis is a playboy with a capital P. He loves women and makes no bones about it. That is, until he meets Antonia Kearny, his best friend's girl. For the first time in his life, Heath finds himself jealous of Grey and the relationship Grey has with Antonia. No more does Heath want to `love em and leave em'. He finds himself wishing for a lifetime with the one woman who is not his to have. Or is she?

Antonia Kearny knows that she loves Grey. Every single moment since she met him she has loved him - that is why her thoughts about his friend Heath are killing her. She knows that the attraction and desire she feels for the handsome man are wrong but when Grey offers her three days with he and Heath together, Antonia accepts. After all, it's only three days, right?

I never expected the range of emotions I would feel upon reading THE SATIN SASH. I knew it was a ménage romance. I knew it would be blistering hot and very erotic. What I didn't expect was the fact that I would have no choice but to think about THE SATIN SASH for days after I finished reading it. I couldn't get the love scenes out of my mind. The passions of Grey, Antonia, and Heath grabbed me right in the heart and I found myself wholly engulfed by this tumultuous and tantalizing novel. The sexual intensity and raw emotions of these amorous characters just made THE SATIN SASH authentic for me. Expertly written love scenes so blazing hot I blushed, THE SATIN SASH is at the top of my list as books that I will read over and over again.

Natalie S.

5.0 out of 5 stars She makes me wish I had a Kindle..., February 20, 2010
This review is from: The Satin Sash (Paperback)
Very rarely does an book come along that makes me say, "That's it, I have to have all of hers," but Red Garnier has sold me with The Satin Sash. And I'm kind of bummed that I'm unable to read all of her Kindle reads. I really didn't want this book to end, one of the BEST menage books I've read (and I've read a lot). I thoroughly liked every character, superb development, super hot sex, and I will be pre-ordering Ms. Garner in the future. So glad I read it immediately and didn't let it sit on my shelf. I can't wait to see what else she comes up with!

4.0 out of 5 stars great book, December 31, 2011

I purchased because I am a fan of the author. All in all I loved the book. The characters are all pretty well written so I felt how each one of them were feeling and why. I am a big fan of m/f/m and even sometimes m/m and menage long term relationships but sometimes I felt bad for Heath who at times didn't want to share and was just doing it for her. It certainly had me on the edge of my seat to see how it ended. I normally can figure them out from the beginning but not the ending on this one. Part of me loved it and part of me not sure much. I guess its a great book & great writing for a story to give you such mixed emotions. I felt for all the characters. I will defiantly read again.

5.0 out of 5 stars I'm still thinking about it 2 years later..., December 3, 2011
This review is from: The Satin Sash (Paperback)
If you are a fan of menage and don't mind M/M interaction, you will love this book.

As a lover of menage fiction, I have read a lot of "thrown together" plots held together weakly with sex as the only glue. This is not one of those books. It is steamy hot, fraught with emotion and extremely hard to put down. Although not short in length, I wished it was longer, if only so I could enjoy the world these characters existed in a little longer. Made me an instant fan of Red, and I have since bought every one of her writings like an eager addict. This one is still my favorite.

If you liked the Satin Sash, some fantastic menage books are:

Table for Three by Lainey Reese M/F/M
Laid Bare by Lauren Dane M/M/F
Menage by Emma Holly M/M/F
Susie's choice by Barbara Ellsborg M/M/F
Safe Harbor & Love Slave for Two by Tymber Dalton M/M/F & M/M/F

Happy HOT reading!
