Best home waxing product I've tried, September 26, 2008
Tired of spending $60 on a bikini wax I started doing it myself a couple years ago. I've always used the microwaveable wax, although I've tried cold waxes. wax strips, and just about everything else. I wanted something to keep the wax warm and save me trips to the kitchen. I was surprised how painless this wax was and how thoroughly it removed the hairs. And I have stubborn hair. Other waxes would require several applications to remove all the hairs in an area. One pass with this wax, and my skin was bare. I've tried waxes for sensitive skin that were more painful than this wax. Immediately after waxing, there was no pain or sensitivity to hot water. I liked all extra bottles of lotions and oils. One improvement would be a collar for the warmer. I used it without one and it was fine, but over time I'm sure it would save clean up. I wouldn't recommend using cotton balls for the wax removal oil. It requires a little rubbing and the cotton balls leave strings. A washcloth worked better. I'm very pleased and won't be needing to try any new waxes.

Very happy, but beware the packaging, March 19, 2010
This review is from: Satin Smooth Waxing Starter Kit (Misc.)
I just received this in today's UPS and rushed upstairs to plug it in since I am about a week behind on my waxing maintenance. This is a great kit, the wax removes everything in one go, and the non-fabric strips have always worked better for me (in drugstore waxing kits). However, the bottle of Wax Residue Remover (oil) leaked inside the shipping box, and got all over everything. Don't worry - the machine and can of wax are inside a separate plastic bag in the shipment, so they didn't get oily, but all the other bottles of stuff, and the packet with the strips and applicators, were greasy. The problem was that the seal inside the lid of the bottle was not sealed properly. Otherwise, 100% great, 5 stars, love it.
Note, someone mentioned (in another review) turning it on in the morning and being ready to wax by afternoon. I plugged mine in at 3PM and by 3:30 it was ready to go, so I don't know what that person's talking about. It's 3:41 right now :-)

Excellent wax kit, October 17, 2007
This wax kit is excellent. It is my first wax kit, I've been waxed by lots of professionals and figured it would be easy and cheap. I was right. The kit comes with enough spatulas and strips to get you started, but you probably will need more in 4-6 weeks, if you intend to do your entire leg, etc. The 4 bottles are great; a good cleanser, wax remover, soothing aloe, and lotion. I wish more salons would use these instead of just spreading the wax on and ripping it off. The wax heats up very quick and it is perfect size for bathroom counter tops. I would have preferred it to come with a hard wax, or one of their specialty waxes, but when I run out of the honey wax I am going to try some of their hard wax specially designed for certain types of hair. This product does not come with much information on how to wax, luckily I've been waxed so many times I pretty much know how to do it, but satin smooth has videos of how to wax on their website which are good.
