5.0 out of 5 stars AN AMAZING ALBUM
"Satin... In Black & White" contains 13 terrific tracks -- six new recordings of Baccara's all time favourites, six excellent brand new songs and a fine German medley. The tracks are a varied set of well crafted songs.
"Simply Forget", "Nights In Black Satin", "Girls Are One Half Of Heaven", "(I Don't Want) To Lose Lautrec", "Yes Sir, I Can Swing" and "The...

1.0 out of 5 stars Warning!
I'm a huge fan of Baccara's music from the 1970's. I also love New Baccara's italo disco singles from the 1980's. But I have to warn everyone about this new album!

I'm so sick of re-recordings! What the girls need are brand new songs with a brand new sound, kind of like the wonderful 2004 album "Soy Tu Venus" that was recorded in Sweden. Sure, it included a...

"Satin... In Black & White" contains 13 terrific tracks -- six new recordings of Baccara's all time favourites, six excellent brand new songs and a fine German medley. The tracks are a varied set of well crafted songs.
"Simply Forget", "Nights In Black Satin", "Girls Are One Half Of Heaven", "(I Don't Want) To Lose Lautrec", "Yes Sir, I Can Swing" and "The Mathematix Of Love" are strong melodic compositions.
Mayte Mateos and Paloma Blanco are the right combination, their voices complement each other perfectly.
This CD was composed, arranged and produced by Rolf Soja, lyrics by Frank Dostal -- the original team behind Baccara's biggest hits and most memorable songs.
This is a truly fantastic album that put Baccara back on the map artistically.

1.0 out of 5 stars Warning!, August 19, 2010
I'm a huge fan of Baccara's music from the 1970's. I also love New Baccara's italo disco singles from the 1980's. But I have to warn everyone about this new album!

I'm so sick of re-recordings! What the girls need are brand new songs with a brand new sound, kind of like the wonderful 2004 album "Soy Tu Venus" that was recorded in Sweden. Sure, it included a couple of re-recordings, but mainly new tracks, and the sound was up-to-date.

If you really want the few new tracks on this album, buy them on iTunes, that's what I did. There are a few good tracks on it. But DO NOT waste your money on yet another Baccara album filled with cheap re-recordings of their classic hits. It's just not worth it.
