This review is from: Saturday Night Fever (Audio CD)
this is the rockinest piece of rock n roll recorded in the1990's, and the world stood by and ignored. to you who missed thesethree bad boys from New York in their day, here is your chance to find salvation and feel better about your measly existence... purely from being exposed to the glory that will always be The Devil Dogs END

I got my first speeding ticket listening to this record, so it must be pretty damn good... but 4 stars cause I'm holding a grudge.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gettin' on a jet plane, February 11, 2000

This is the second-best rock and roll record ever created by human beings. The first, of course, is the Stooges' "Fun House."

The day I bought this record, I got home a few minutes before I had to leave for work on the night shift. The Devil Dogs already were my favorite band going and I HAD to hear what it sounded like before I left. I put it on my turntable, listened to the first song, literally yelled "Yes" in a jubilant affirmation of my rock heroes, turned it off, called my boss and said I was going to be about an hour late. I listened to the whole album twice and forced myself to leave my apartment and my new favorite record. Eight years later, this record is still in my A-list rotation. There's no better post-punk band than the Devil Dogs and I highly doubt there ever will be.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hands down the best Rock and Roll band of the 90s, November 15, 2003
This review is from: Saturday Night Fever (Audio CD)
Saturday Nite Fever is the finest moment of the Devil Dogs, but they made no bad records and their swan song EP, Stereodrive, is worth picking up if you can find it. These guys weren't punk, just good ol sexist rock n' roll. But the secret is the songwriting. The Devil Dogs never forgot to write a melody to go with the attitude. Live, they were one of the best bands I've ever seen. Too bad more people didn't catch on, because they might have hung around. On the upside, they never got a chance to suck! Long live NY City RAWK N ROLL; long live the Devil Dogs!

5.0 out of 5 stars this is the real rock'n'roll experience for the lame 90's, May 30, 1999

This record should be the rock'n'roll bible ! The Devil Dogs lay waste to all the s****y, classic rock soundin' crap that passes as " R+R " or " garage " in the lame-as-hell 90's. The Dogs kicked the hell out of a boring and grunge-filled music business and got no respect...you should be ashamed of yo' self.
