Not an unpleasant album, but it doesn't break any boundaries. Be aware that I don't think that the Michael Knott here is the same one from LSU - a mistake I made.

husker du made this kind of noise when they appeared on a scene starved of good ideas. 30 amp fuse took the blue print and ran with. not very far admittingly, but if it aint broke, why fix it? The riff and hooks tumble over each other, as one sonic maelstrom after another rips thru ya ears. if you arent grinning like a clown by the end you aint human!!!

This is some of the best power-pop-punk I've ever heard. Catchy tunes & great teenage lyrics.I can't get enough of the album.

This record is Bob Mould/Husker Du songwriting as produced by the Descendents/All. 'Tilt-A-Whirl' has to be one of the best pop/punk songs that I've heard in years. Mike Smithers vocals have attitude. Songs like 'Love is a Catch 22' have made me keep this in my cd player for months at a time.
