If you're over 50 and trying to remain hip and au courant in life, you're probably embarrassed to admit that once upon a time you read and enjoyed this; if you're under 50 you probably have no idea who the hell Peter DeVries even is. Don't bother with any of this -- just pick it up, read it in two hours, and enjoy a light, frothy, politically incorrect, stylistically delightful cold throwback of a tonic. You've earned it.
