Editorial Reviews

Review

Praise for Paul Cornell:

"Paul Cornell brings a sense of humor to the proceedings that is both surprising and welcome."—The New York Times

"A love story amidst an epic fantasy setting is an example of Cornell's gift as a storyteller, his ability to find the edge, the new. A love triangle just propels the story beyond expectations."—Pop Matters

"Demon Knights . . . offers up witty banter, fantastic art and sets the stage for one of the most eclectic team books currently hitting shelves. . . . Damn good fun. The 'Dark' corner of the DCU shines once again, this time thanks to Paul Cornell."—IGN

About the Author

He has written for other television dramas including Robin Hood, Primeval, Casualty, Holby City and Coronation Street. More About the Author

I'm a writer of SF and fantasy in prose, comics and television, one of only two people to be Hugo Award-nominated for all three media. I wrote three episodes of Doctor Who for the BBC, Batman & Robin and Superman in Action Comics for DC, and my continuing mature readers series at Vertigo is Saucer Country. My first urban fantasy novel, London Falling, about a modern undercover police unit in London accidentally becoming able to see dark magic and monsters, is out from Tor in the UK in December, and in the US in April 2013. I live near London, and my other interests include cricket, all things Fortean, and my newborn son Thomas. His interests include tummy rubs and poo.

Most Helpful Customer Reviews

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful By Patrick A. Barrett on October 2, 2013
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
The first one really started some threads that looked promising, but I really hoped for a continuation of those thoughts in the second one rather than a general diffusing of much of the tension.

Format: Paperback
The second book is specific than the first, and focuses on one thread of the conspiracy and hidden truth. It maintains the strong "something is happening" vibe without committing to anything, and offers a good basis for the continuation of the story.
