5.0 out of 5 stars Great cushoning running shoe., September 12, 2008

This review is from: Saucony Men's ProGrid Triumph 5 Running Shoe (Apparel)
The ProGrid Triumph 5 is my second pair of Saucony shoes. It is a great midsole cushioning shoe perfect for someone like me who underpronates and has a moderate to high arch. Very comfortable shoe.

I am 62 and over 200 lbs. As time goes on, my feet have become more and more the weak points of my running life. These shoes helped get me going and stay going, with extensive cushioning, after a period of hip ailments and plantar fascitis problems. I have not tried everything, but after reading many reviews I am doubtful there is something out there that is better for me.

This review is from: Saucony Men's ProGrid Triumph 5 Running Shoe (Apparel)
My husband loves these shoes. It was his first time trying Saucony's after always buying Addidas and having a semi bad experience with Reeboks. He wore them on the treadmill the first time he put them on and said they didn't need to be broken in at all and didn't hurt his feet. They have good cushioning for the impact of running. Overall he has said he'll buy these again (and an added bonus is I don't hear about his knees hurting after a run!). I'm not sure about the life of the shoes yet (I'll revise my feedback if they wear out faster than the addidas').

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent shoe for the money, February 12, 2009
I shopped around and found this shoe for $75. Been running 3-6 miles 3 days a week for about a month. Shoe is light and cushy, much better than the $70 Nike's Nike's it replaced. I was considering a high-end Mizuno and some others in the $120 price range. I don't see how much better you can get than these shoes by spending an extra $50. Shop around as some retailers were charging over $100 for this exact pair.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great for me... Your mileage may vary, January 25, 2009

After trying on 6 different brands and models of shoe at the local running store I settled on these Sauconys. Having never owned a pair I was very cautious on how they would work out, especially with my IT band syndrome.

Since then, May 2008, I've put around 500 miles on these shoes and love them. It's time for a new pair and here I am for more.

I advise anyone who is to embark on road running to get a proper fit with someone who knows what to look for. Take the time, spend the money for a good pair of shoes. Once you find some that work for you, just buy more!

Outstanding cushioning and fit! Best running shoe I've ever worn, bar none. I've never given Saucony's a second glance until the salesman at Marathon Sports recommended that I give them a try recently. It was love at first stride! : ) I'll never go back to Nikes or Asics again (as long as Saucony keeps making these Triumph 5's, that is!).
