I was so excited that I found these shoes on Amazon for such an amazing price. They're bright, they're brilliant, and they have the over-pronation support that I need in a running shoe. Having purchased Saucony Hurricanes in the past, I was confident that the size I ordered would work as well. My local running store have always told me that women should order their running shoes 1.5 sizes bigger than your normal shoe size. It worked beautifully with my other saucony shoes, so it should work with these too, right?

Wrong.

These shoes are VERY small. I read some reviews that said as much, but I figured that a size and a half bigger would be enough cushion for any discrepancy in size. This shoe will not work for running, at all, unless I got at LEAST a 9.5 or even a 10.

Let me give you a real-life example. When I put on the shoes, I thought "Huh...these are small." Not normal shoe small, just running shoe small. Curious, I went and grabbed some old Nike's that I had purchased and had been a DISASTER to run in because, notoriously, Nike's run small. These Saucony shoes, in a size 9, are equivalent to a size 8 in Nike's.

I've decided to keep them simply because they're adorable and decided to use them for everything BUT running and went out to purchase a new pair of running shoes from a local running store.

Runners, use extreme caution when purchasing these shoes. I HIGHLY recommend you go to a store and try them on first in order to determine your accurate size.

I love these shoes. Very light weight but just enough support to make my run enjoyable. I love the bright colors too.
However be cautious when buying as the sizes run small. I usually wear a 7 but I bought a 8 and they fit perfect.

I am not a runner, but rather a walker, *considering* including some jogging into my workout. I was looking for a lightweight, supportive, yet fun running shoe. This show had a great look to it, but it ran a bit small and narrow. I would have liked to exchange it for a larger size, but none was available, so I ended up buying an entirely different brand.

I have plantar fascitis and while this had decent support, there are other shoes out there with better.

bought this at the store not online and took a full size bigger. my feet feel snugly well wrapped and I feel I can run forever (did 20 miles with them without pb).
A lot of reviews I read pointed out the deception people felt as they run small or are not as comfy as the 4. I think we have to be aware as runners that the amount of training we do + the normal course of aging is taking a toll on our feet. THEY are the alive part of the combo and THEY change...not so much the shoes. This is why you have to go to the store and try different pairs before you buy. Having the wrong pair of shoe is an open door for injury.
These are light, responsive, comfy to me feet and can take the demanding millage of marathon training.

my 17 yr daughter Charlotte has had her first pair of this shoe since November 2012 she runs 35 to 50 km on gravel trails and tar seal per week .
i have been impressed the shoe has stayed together with great wear pattern over the whole shoe
other than a slight tear in the side wall of shoe they still look like new . we hope she gets another 6 months with her next pair

Wore the shoes today. They are so LIGHT . Like wearing nothing . It is like bare feet with bottom covers to your feet. They feel as wonderful as they look.

I have several pairs of Saucony running shoes size 8.5; ordered these and they don't fit; must be a size 8 or even 7.5; can't wear them with cushiony sox, only very light sox and then shoes are tight. Is there a difference in the name of the running shoe with Saucony?

I just recently started running and out of all the shoes that I've tried on and purchased, Saucony has exceeded my expectations!!! It is the best running shoe that I've purchased so far. Even better that Nike! Just remember that when you buy Saucony, you have to buy 1/2 size bigger. Don't judge the shoe based on the size. It is not true to size. Once you find your perfect size, you too will fall in love with this running shoe!!

I was really looking forward to a lighter running shoe. Have been a Saucony fan for years, and this shoe was reviewed well. After 80 miles, the shoe looks like it had over 300 miles on it. Rubber on heel is gone; showing wear as if I had it for 6 months, and I have only had them for 30 days. Very disappointing.
