This book is a good introduction for the newcomer. It contains much useful information, including a discussion of health benefits that is not overstated. The price is right, as well. My only complaint is the implication that there is a right way and a wrong way to sauna. With regard to maximum measurable health benefits, the author may be correct. However, half the magic of the sauna is developing a routine that is comfortable and enjoyable. While I recommend this book, I would also encourage others to visit the Finnish Sauna Society's website, or Mikkel Aaland's website entitled "Sweat". Using his name as a keyword should get you there. In this way the reader can review the many aspects of the sauna. Enjoy!David Prescott

I found this book basically content free as I was looking for a book that would give me in depth details of the health benefits of sauna and how to use it most effectively. Buy this book if you know nothing about sauna and don't really care if you learn anything more than the varieties that are available.
