Each mat is individually wound, covered with resilient natural burlap and hand sewn by skilled craftsmen. Archers not only use the mat because of its longevity, econmy and traditional appeal, they also use it as a great bow tuning aid. The 48-inch Indian Cord Mat holds the arrow at its flight angle, revealing how well the bow is tuned...it is even more revealing when done with fletchless arrows. Whether shooting classic straight bow or the fastest compound bow using wood, aluminum or carbon arrows, you will enjoy this beautiful tradition of archery. The Saunders Indian Cord Mat is tournament quality spiral wound Indian Cord fibers that are chemically treated to fight against fungus and dry rot. Weight - 50 lbs.
