Mine came with no scratches on it. It looks really nice. You can see through it. It has attractive black plastic grippers on the binder. And the rulers down the left and right sides are nice to have, but I doubt I'll use that feature.
The worst thing about this clipboard is the fact that it has a raised circle about the size of a dime or a penny right at the top on the writing surface itself, just below the middle of the binder. So it extends a little less than a half an inch into the top margin of whatever you're writing on. It also has a dot that's right in the middle of the circle that rises about 2 millimeters above the surface of the clipboard! So if you put a piece of paper in it and begin writing at the very top of the paper, you will find that your writing is disturbed by this rough indentation, and you could even puncture the paper at this point. Mind you, most people don't write at the very top of whatever they're writing on, so maybe it's not a big deal most of the time.
This circle is due to the way they manufactured it: injection molding.Read more ›
I use this on my desktop to hold a pertinent printout -- often a land-scape printed calendar printout which I write notes on.... It becomes a very simple way to quickly place in front of me a landscape printed sheet of paper... or two different vertical printout sheets. .... But regardless of usage, these are great and affordable.
