I have 2 bulging cervical disks and have had more than 10 epidural injections that have provided some good, short-term relief. I tried physical therapy, but the only benefit seemed to be gained on the traction table. My doctor gave me a referral for this unit, and it has been a life-saver! I have been using it daily for almost a month, and I'm already losing some of the numbness that has plagued my arms and hands for years. I'm only spending 15 to 20 minutes per day on the machine, and I'm feeling hopeful that I will continue to improve.
The unit is light and portable and comes in a handy carrying case. Mine was delivered by Apria who offered to show me how to use it, but it wasn't necessary. The directions are clear, and they call and write to follow up. I recommend it highly!

I purchased the Saunders Cervical Hometrac Deluxe - Model 199594 on the advice of my "shoulder doctor" for my shoulder pain. The pain actually originates in a pinched nerve on my neck. I have used the Saunders Cervical Hometrac Deluxe for about 4 weeks and had very good results. Exercise and traction have almost eliminated the pain. Follow the doctors or therapists' directions.

I bought this from Amazon in Oct of 2011, so less than 5 months at time of this review. Last week the pump stopped working. I referred to my manual, stating 1yr warranty, and called the number provided for repair in the manual that came with the machine. After giving the repair "tech" my serial number, I was informed BECAUSE I DID NOT BUY IT FROM THEM AND THEY DO NOT HAVE A DR'S PRESCRIPTION ON FILE FOR ME the warranty does not apply. They did offer to sell me a new pump for $100! WOW!! Did I miss the fine print on this site, stating the warranty was void if I bought it from Amazon or without a Dr's prescription? What a rip off!!! Very very very disappointed.

Two years after a bad car accident/whiplash and still under care of Chiro, I heard about this equipment. My Chiro thought it was not necessary to purchase as he was providing something free he devised. He certainly thought the device was great so I purchased and have been very happy. Wish I had known about this earlier. Headaches are fewer and swelling at the back of my neck is visably improved. Have owned for about a month and am using it as often as I was supposed to use the free Chiro equipment. Am looking forward to even further improvement as it was just what I needed.

My pinched nerve was beginning to come back and nothing else was working. Now all I do is use the
stretcher about once a week and it works great.

I had this same traction unit from my therapist. It turns out my insurance will not cover the cost of the unit, so I had to return it. I was able to purchase the same unit and it is exactly the same as what I had! I paid $100 less than the original company wanted me to pay.

I have been using this exact piece of equipment at physical therapy for 2 weeks. I have a pinched nerve and herniated cervical discs. I suffered through 4 weeks of worsening pain with no improvements before I got to use this device.

It has made huge improvements in my symptoms. I use this in the afternoon at PT and the next day the worsening of symptoms happens hours later than on days when I don't use it, and the symptoms are much less severe. I am no longer spending 90% of my day with my arm over my head to help relieve the pain I feel due to the nerve irritation, which apparently is a "classic sign" of c5 nerve irritation. Like another reviewer, most of the pain I feel from this problem is in my shoulder, but it also continues down my arm farther throughout the day. Since using this, the pain has been less severe and not traveled as far down my arm.

I can only hope the improvements continue! My therapist is loaning me their machine to use at home over the weekends and days when I don't have PT. She said she didn't think it was necessary for me to purchase, but I'm still considering. This is the 3rd occurrence of this pain due to disc problems in 3 years. It would be great to have this at home to help in prevention. The pain I have felt from this rates even higher than the most severe labor pains I felt on my scale of pain, so I want to avoid at all costs!

I highly recommend this product if you need something to use at home!

It really helps me to release my neck pain and the dizziness caused by the neck pain. However, strongly recommend you discuss with doctor or chiropractor before you use this device. Without proper use, you may get 2nd injury.

I was very disappointed in the quality of materials used, the range of motion used, and the very expensive price. To be quite frank, a simple pillow case, and a rope tied to the pillow case and then to a door knob, would accomplish the same thing as this $300 plus device
