This is one of the best diagnostic books I have come across, it provides a vast amount of information r/t nursing pre and post prep/care, information about the test, normal/abnormal, etc.

The other lab books I have used were too difficult to search when in a hurry. The format of this book is handy to use when your at the clinicl site and the instructor says "go look it up". Which is the classic clinical insturctor motto.

This book is an excellent quick reference for looking up normal nursing laboratory values. It also breaks some of them up into gender and age categories as well. The only recommendation I would make would be changing it to a hardcover text instead of softcover.

This lab book is okay. It breaks down what the nurse needs to know and what we as nurses need to do for our patients. I've found that it is much easier to get some info from this book and then call professionals in the lab at my local hospital for more detailed information.

This is an excellent book giving you simple, easy to understand explainations of each Lab and diagnostic test.

I don't use this book very often, but it is very useful when you need to know what may be causing lab values to be high or low. Sometimes I have a hard time looking up certain labs though because they aren't in the index under that specific lab. So, it gets kind of confusing at times.
