This is my favorite dog den mystery so far. There is a twist to the case, so it is much less predictable for the adults listening to it. My 2nd grade son (not an early reader) was able to read it fairly easily. Love the series, recommend them for 1st and 2nd graders, perhaps some 3rd graders too.
