1.0 out of 5 stars TOTAL RIP OFF ! ZERO STARS!!!, October 14, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Savage Abduction (DVD)
I have never been so lied to by a DVD's liner notes in my DVD purchase history!
This movie should have been rated PG or PG13 at most! No nudity whatsoever, there is zero sexual tension and its picture quality is horrible. The scariest thing about this film is that I bought it!
On the back of the DVD cover, the vendor compares this film to excellent cult classics such as "I Spit on Your Grave" and "The Last House on the Left". I have seen those two sexplotation classics and this one has nothing in common with either of the two. In one scene, for about 20 seconds, you see the two "captive" teens in their underwear. Save your money folks and stay far away from this B picture! I expected so much....and got so little. Its the rip off of the century!

1.0 out of 5 stars Rip off warning! Please do not waste your money., December 13, 2007
This review is from: Savage Abduction (DVD)
I ordered this in spite of the warnings of the other reviewers. What a mistake. There is no nudity or erotic drama at all.

The savage part in the title comes from the name of the gang which is something like 'Savage Outlaws' and the gang consists only of 3 grubby guys and a druggy woman. The girls who get 'kidnapped' only accept a ride from two of the bikers whose mission it is to get two young girls for a nut case guy. The bikers take the girls instead to their 'hideout' where the 'kidnappees' get to witness a stupid argument between the head biker and his strung out girlfriend. Then one of the bikers (the obvious good guy out of the 3) intervenes to protect the girls and guys wind up taking each other out, allowing the girls be 'rescued'. Oh, happy ending... sheesh.

The nut case turns out to be a guy who stabs blow-up dolls and who never actually meets the girls. His angle is to get his criminal attorney to pay the bikers to get the girls, because nut case knows attorney killed his own wife. So there's the whole story in a nut shell. I hope I saved you 18 bucks (plus shipping). If you buy this, you will regret the waste of money.

4.0 out of 5 stars seedy low budget biker/psycho flick, November 6, 2007
This review is from: Savage Abduction (DVD)
This movie is not going to please anyone not already into unusual low budget movies. It is not going to make you happy if you are looking for sexploitation either. You will enjoy it if you like strong characters and dismal situations; seedy bars, strange pseudo-freudian sexual disoders, bikers fighting with their strung-out girlfriends over money for dope, and seeing actors really giving it all they've got despite the obvious hopelessness of the whole project. The music's pretty good. The locations are cheap, but that's part of the charm. The biker social dynamics are effective and each one has his own personality. The weird dude is genuinely weird and creepy courtesy of Joe Turkel (later cast as Tyrell in Blade Runner). The kidnapping of the girls and the girls themselves are not interesting, they just serve to drive the story. The real meat of the movie is in the rich dude's weirdness, the lawyer's amorality, the biker dynamics, and the gang leader and his girlfriend. Warning! My star rating does not conform to any accepted standard. Think of it as a rating of the entertainment value of, say, a couple with young children fighting in public.
