5.0 out of 5 stars Couldn't put it down!
The story was great, I first got into reading Cassie Edward's books about 6 months ago. My first was Savage Joy. I have now read and collected 16 of her native american romance books. They are easy to read the the story plots keep the excitment. Being Native American myself, my hat goes off to Cassie Edwards for taking her readers back in time when and reliving times...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not Edward's Best Book
I have enjoyed all of Cassie Edward's books; however, this one was a complete disappointment. The book was comprised of short choppy sentences, no suspense, not really a real plot. Everything was just too pat and some of the dialogue was strictly written on a junior high school leve. This is the only book by Edwards that was a total disappointment.

1.0 out of 5 stars The worst book ever!, September 12, 2005
This review is from: Savage Fires (Savage (Leisure Paperback)) (Mass Market Paperback)
I know Cassie's books are a like saccarine (light and sweet) but this book was ridiculous! They fall in love almost instantly without much dialoge or time spent together and there was little descriptions in how they look or for that matter look at each other or even how felt touching each other so soon, it was all very unemotional & rushed. Very vague in descriptions and I have no idea what they felt for each other, and made me uninterested in them as well. I wonder if the author had a deadline to submit chapters ASAP? Many chapters were 2 pages! Not only that, the redundant writing of Jo "murmered" over & over, I couldn't take it anymore and had to quit reading! I mean a lawyer, who murmurs? I could see a shy or low self esteemed person murmuring, but it is sometimes twice a page she uses that word! Egad!

It's hard to believe that book was written by Cassie Edwards. What a deception !!!! It was the worst historical romance i've ever read!!!!!
It was soooooo silly and so childish that i couldn't finish it.

5.0 out of 5 stars TRAGEDY,LOVE, FREEDOM AND HAPPINESS!, July 22, 1999

I JUST FINISHED READING CASSIE'S "SAVAGE FIRES" AND ALL I CAN SAY IS "MAGNIFICENT". CASSIE PROVED TO US READERS AGAIN THAT SHE HAS WRITTEN AN EXCELLENT BOOK! I'M ABSOLUTELY SPEECHLESS! I COULDN'T PUT THE BOOK DOWN.GREAT PLOT,CHARACTERS,STRATEGIES ETC.I LOVED THE PART WHEN WOLF WAS INTRODUCED AND SURPRISED AT THE SAME TIME TO J.T.S. JO'S ABBREVIATED NAME.FINDING OUT THAT SHE WAS NOT A MALE LAWYER BUT A "FEMALE LAWYER". THAT GOES TO SHOW HOW WOMEN CAN OVERPOWER A MAN SOMETIMES BY JUST A SIMPLE DISGUISE AND YET AT THE SAME TIME GIVING US WOMEN A GREAT VICTORY AND SATISFACTION. ON THE OTHER HAND,WOLF'S CHARACTER IS ALSO A GREAT LESSON TO BE LEARNED BECAUSE HE PROVED TO US THAT EVEN WHEN HE FOUND OUT THAT J.T.S. WAS A FEMALE LAWYER AND ON THE WHEELCHAIR, IT DID NOT MATTER TO HIM.HE WAS WILLING TO GIVE HER A CHANCE TO HELP HIM AND HIS PEOPLE. AGAIN THAT GOES TO SHOW THAT INNER BEAUTY SURPASSES OUTER BEAUTY!CASSIE YOU ARE THE BEST! EXCELLENT JOB! I CAN'T WAIT FOR YOUR NEXT BOOK!

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it, November 29, 2010
This review is from: Savage Fires (Savage (Leisure Paperback)) (Mass Market Paperback)
I saw this book at a used book store and having read a few books by Cassie Edwards already I was tempted and bought the book. Once I started I was immediately drawn into the books story. Jo a paraplegic lawyer in a time where women lawyers were nearly unheard of. It gives good detailed discriptions of the 'bad guys'. I love the story, love the book. I couldn't put it down, (I read it in one night!) one of her best. If you like Cassie Edwards buy this book!

Cassie Edwards! You are the greatest. When I read your books I travel to another time and wish it was me falling in love with a powerful Chief. Not only Savage Fire but more than 50 of your Native American Series that I have read and have loved them all. Cassie, as long as you continue to write you will for sure keep me busy reading. Waiting for Savage Devotion. Continue writing wonderful books. I give you 5 stars for all the ones I have read. Please continue the wonderful writing and best wishes, jackie

I thought that this was a great story. It is very rare that You have someone in a wheelchair be a heroine with a love story. It proves that true love can happen when you least expect it. you just need to courage to try.
