Trash, trash, and more trash...,

Now I usually don't give something one star because for me to give something one star it has to REALLY suck. Heck, this is only my second review. But Webbie manages to hit rock bottom with the release of his album Savage Life. And for that matter I don't think you can live to be 18 like he says he is long enough to live a life like that.
But back to the album, you can really tell that Webbie's vocabulary skills are really limited with his constant usage of the b-word and the s-word in almost every bar he uses and his hooks. Song titles don't get creative here with "G-S**t", "Gutta B", and the disgusting "Bad B". And as if that song wasnt already bad enough he does a remix with Trina (now that sounds like a winning formula?). Webbie is definatley describing himself on the song "Retarded", why anyone would make a song like that song is beyond me. And "Gotta Show Me U Worth It" is a phrase I'm definatley going to. So there has to be a bright spot here right? Well I havent even mentioned his single, "Give Me That", but trust me it's not good because of Webbie. Bun-B is featured in it and he manages to shine nicely without the filthy mouth. For that matter his verse is the only thing worth listening to on this whole CD if you havent thrown it out the window by now.

One Of The New Leaders Of The South.,
By Beezly "Young Beezly" (Cashville, TN) - See all my reviews

Webbie comes hard on his first solo. He has a raw delivery and puts much heart in his words. The beats is bangin somethin serious and the hooks are on point. There is a lot of new talent comin out the south and he is one of them. All them New Yorkers who are givin this album a bad rating are wrong. They have no bussiness even rating a southern album because they're never understand our slang just like we'll never understand theres. To all my southerners cop the album its 4 us not them. Ya Feel Me. Its Beezly Folk!

"Gimmie That" cd so I can toss it in the garbage!,
By
This review is from: Savage Life (Audio CD)
To say that this rapper is garbage is an understatement and a cliche. This person has no originality and his vocab is restricted to four letter words and references to cars, bling, and money. That's the case with a lot of dirty south rappers. With the exception of UGK, Outkast, Ludacris, and of course Scarface, dirty south rappers has no skill and their beats sound the same. Just like G funk hip hop of the 90's, Dirty South hip hop is gonna burn out when people get tired of their bad grammar. As for Webbie, he's gonna end up in the cut out bins in a few years if not sooner and his career will be over in a year. For all you ladies out there that he's telling to "Gimmie That" need to save it for a real man because he's a little boy that's mastrubating the art of hip hop for instant gratification.
Pass on this CD.

Good Debut From Young Rapper Webbie,
This review is from: Savage Life (Audio CD)
Trill Entertainment/Asylum rapper Webbie has dropped his debut album "Savage Life." Webbie's first single, "Give me That" featuring Bun B introduced him to the mainstream rap game. Savage Life opens up with the album "G-Sh*t." It's a pretty good song. It's followed up by "How You Ridin'" This is a good song that all the ballas can related to as Webbie raps about how his ride is tricked out and brags about how his rims are bigger than yours. "Like That" is a slower song about how Webbie likes it with women. "Bad B**ch" is a good song and Trina is featured on the remix. Be sure to check out the song "What It Is." It's a real cool laid back song.
The album overall is very good. The production is decent. It really sounds like one of those down south albums. Webbie keeps it fam on Savage Life. His partner Lil Boosie appears on 4 tracks. Other guest artists on Savage Life include Trina (on the "Bad B**ch Remix", Mannie Fresh on "Come Here B**ch," B.G. on "Gotta Show Me U Worth It," Big Head and Bun B. Savage Life is a very impressive debut CD from Webbie. Most rappers hate to be compared to other artists but as reviewers we feel the need to make a comparison. Webbie reminds me of B.G. and some of the other former/current Cash Money artists. Webbie probably admires these artists, he has two Cash Money related artists on Savage Life. Webbie does curse a lot on this album, so if you ears cant take a lot of cursing check for a clean version.

this rapper is so crap, and his album is worse
im not a hater but im just givng my opinion. i think the reason why weebie is so crap is because he doent have any talent at all but only decided to put an album out because he saw how down south music was gaining popularity and he was hoping to make some money out of it. dont get this crap. if u want to hear real talented southern rappers, check out: B.G , Soulja Slim(RIP) , and any Cash Money albums

Whats funny with the previos review is that hes from detroit, so i take it he hasnt heard the underground stuff, but what most people dont know is that he did grow up as a thug and that most rappers today didnt, but anyway its a decent album for his first big release, but doesnt compare to gis undergournd stuff.

Challenge for the crown of king of the south?,

I like this CD a lot. Webbie has one of the tightest flows and he always makes something you can ride to. He still keep it gangsta by letting Boosie get on it and rip up a couple tracks too. If you ain't heard about him by now you better ask somebody. Go and get the album!
