Reading the other enthusiastic reviews of this book makes me wonder whether we all actually read the same book. This was one of the worst books I have ever read. The writing is simply terrible and the plot laughable. As a mother, losing a child is incomprehensible. The heroine (and I use the term loosely), wavers between two extreme emotions throughout the entire novel - mediocre despair and extreme lust. Guess which one wins out the most? I know it's supposed to be a romance novel, but really? You've just lost your child but you spend most of your time thinking about getting underneath the hero's loin cloth? And then, the hero (an American Indian) and his entire village just happen to speak perfect English. The last negative I have to mention is the abundance of exclamation marks in this book. The characters can't seem to think or speak without getting very excited! And it is irritating! A waste of money and space on my Kindle.

I loved this book. It was the first Cassie Edwards book I have ever read. I was captivated from the beginning to the end and I finished it within a day. I thought the love story was very believable and loved how she made the two characters realize their love much earlier on than most novels. It left much more room for expansion and I really enjoyed it.
