When I was a wee young lad back in the 70's me and my best friend Ed used to look at this book in the local Waldenbooks at the Westchester Mall in upstate New York and I finally conned my Mom into buying it for me. My Mom was very trusting and didn't look inside of it. If she had, she never would have purchased it for me. It is full of pictures of violent film scenes and nudity. My brother, who was a lot like the older brother on The Wonder Years used to enjoy the book too but eventually ratted me out to my father about the contents of the book and my Dad demanded to see the book and told me it was not a good book for a young boy to have and told me if I wanted to keep it I would have to cut out all the pics of naked women. So I butchered and censored my favorite book in a desperate attempt to keep it in my hot little hands.I was 9 years old and in theory, my Dad was right but let's face it, the guy just didn't get me and still doesn't to this day.I always loved Sam Peckinpah and Sergio Leone and Dirty Harry and Death Wish and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, which had not come out when the book was released but the author mentioned it and had a still of Leatherface in it.I always wondered why the text was so odd in the book and when I re-purchased it on Amazon, I realised it was because the author was British. I bought it again 2 years ago (nude pics intact) because I am now a screenwriter working on my first screenplay and I wanted this source of early inspiration back in my possession. My screenplay is called Ready To Die and is more violent than any film in this book. Thank you for buying this life changing book for me Mommy. I love you, Glenn
