5.0 out of 5 stars Action filled, January 4, 2000
Despite her disguise as Silver Jones, tavern maid, Lady Selena Hardwick-jones was captured by bounty hunters combing the Georgia coast for the runaway with hair pale as spun silver and eyes like soft brown velvet. Forced into a ship headed for her home in the West Indies, Silver vowed to make her break for freedom. But in the vessel's brash owner she found a will to match her own. Major Morgan Trask was determined to deliver his lovely human cargo safely to the aristocrat he had long admired..

Was The ship's dashing captain Silver's stern captor - or her gallant protector? Tormented by doubts, tantalized by desire, Silver's emoions were in turmoil. For a secret shame kept her from telling Morgan's Trask the real reason for her flight, all the while fearing -and yearning- to trust him. (this text refers to the books back cover)

This book is quite cleverly written and packed with action. This is my first book from Kat Martina and I am sure it won't be the last. Silver is a feisty heroine, full of spunk and vitality and Morgan is a gentle man until angered but he never resorts to violence towards her. I also liked the way Silver's secret is only revealed much later in the novel, leaving us readers wondering what terrible thing had happened to her to make her act so. Definitly a winner and i will include Ms MArtin as another of my favorite authors.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Read!, October 9, 2007
I love her books. They catch and keep your interest all the way through. Some things are predictable, but what do you expect from Romance Novels.

Definitely worth reading, and try her other stuff too!
