Ankle weights for actual ankle size,
This review is from: Savasa for Women Ankle Weight Pair with SPT Workout DVD (Sports)
I bought these ankle weights also (3lb one, since its my first time using ankle weights to work out in and don't want to kill myself - but had tried a few). Very comfortable doesn't slide up or down your ankles and the best think is that is has two slots that you can adjust to fit around your ankles WHICH IS PERFECT and pratical since sometimes i wonder if the manufactures make ankle weights for babies because the fit, majority of the time are so small and not even, sometimes it doesn't even close. Good job Savasa.

I agree with the previous customer review. Based off of her write-up, I ordered the three-pound weights and I love them. They challenge me on my floor exercises, stay in place, are comfortable and well-sewn. The inside is lined so you won't have the sand-leakage problem you read about in other reviews of similar products from different brands. Savasa is good and designing things that WORK.

My husband and I use these every day while walking the dog 2.5 miles on hills around the lake, regardless of the weather. They take a pretty good beating and they hold up well. With that much use, we wear them out in about 6 to 9 months (or so), but that's a lot harder use than they receive if you use them inside the house. The Velcro is very good and never releases, even with what we're putting them through. Neither one of use has large (or overly small) ankles, so I find the claims of some reviewers to be inaccurate on that front. We've strapped these on with shorts around bare ankles and over the uppers of boots. The two sets of Velcro have never failed, which together give you a wide attaching range. Eventually we wear through the material and they start to leak, but we more than get our money's worth.

I would describe my ankles as average-sized, but I find it is almost impossible to wrap these weights around them and adhere them with the Velcro. Unless you are very fine-boned, or want to use these as hand weights or wrist weights, I wouldn't recommend them. The color is pleasing and the teeny, tiny DVD was included. Another reviewer complained that her DVD was not included, but I wonder if she just missed it because it is so small? It comes in a teensy enclosure inside one flap of the box and is only a couple of inches wide. I haven't tried it yet, but it says it plays in regular DVD players. I'm going to keep them, because returning seems like a hassle and I'm sure I'll find a way to use them somehow, but I wouldn't recommend them to any but the tiniest of people.

I wear these throughout the day, not just when exercising. They are a little bulky, but can be easily hidden under wide-leg jeans. They easily fit around bigger ankles and the velcro holds strong. They were a great purchase.

These ankle weights are just right for me. I love the Velcro which makes it easy for any size to fit comfortably. It was difficult to find weights that gave me a challenge and still felt comfortable, but the four pounds are exactly what I needed. I wear them on my elliptical and during other workout DVDs. The 15 minute Savasa workouts are just right for a busy morning, and I have no excuses to not work out daily.

I like how these weights are not adjustable and they seem pretty sturdy, but with just the velcro closure it's really hard to get them as tight as I want them to be. Overall, they're good ankle weights and I would recommend these.

very poor design- will be returning,

These weights are very poorly designed. In the photos it appears to have a velcro strap closure but this is not the case. The closure is just velcro on either end of the weight and due to the fact that the weights are so bulky, they don't fully attach to the opposite velcro. In addition if you have small ankles the fact that you can't remove any of the sections in order to make them lie flat they are horribly uncomfortable and would not fit under a pair of pants. I purchased these to wear while hiking and walking but I will be returning them due to the poor design subsequently resulting in a very poor fit. I am trying to replace a pair that have the weight bars in them which are uncomfortable after years of use; at least those you can take out a 1/2 lb bar to make them lay flat and fit properly with out the bulk. Don't let all of the positive reviews sway you, if you have small ankles do NOT buy these! In the most simple terms, they suck. and I was so excited to get them... :-(
