3.0 out of 5 stars (RAW Rating: 3.5) - Complicated Relationships, May 24, 2010

This review is from: Save Me (Indigo) (Mass Market Paperback)
Ellison Emory is on a path of what appears to be certain destruction. Now in college after the death of his mother and having broken ties with his father, Ellison is devoid of feelings and sort of just drifting through life. Then he finally meets someone with whom he develops feelings for, but the only problem, she is his best friend's girl.

Throughout his college years, he watches from the sidelines as Angela and Jason's relationship flourishes and then runs afoul. When Jason messes up, a devastated Angela turns to Ellison for support and one thing leads to another. Angela then finds herself in a position that destroys the relationship between the two young men and puts her and Ellison in a situation neither is ready for.

SAVE ME by Africa Fine is a very deep book about a different facet of the familial relationship. It covers the struggle of a young man to mature despite a dysfunctional family and trying to fit into society. As he comes to grip with his relationship issues with his father, the reader also becomes engaged in the autobiography his father has written. Despite the very capable writing skills of Fine, the story dragged at a slow pace and several of the characters worked my nerves as I considered them to be brats.

1.0 out of 5 stars Bad Novel, A Terrible Author, October 5, 2011
This review is from: Save Me (Indigo) (Mass Market Paperback)
Please save your money and do not buy this boring awful book by Africa Fine.

The book opens up with a lonely woman and ends with the same woman still boring and depressed. Miss Africa Fine does not ever show any sort of character growth or depth to any of them. Again, I have been greatly disappointed to this author's writing style to say the least. I got this book as a gift for my birthday and I must sadly say this is the worst GIFT EVER!

This author needs to stop writing while she is ahead. All she gave me was one big headache. She just seriously needs to stop trying to be and act like she is some great author of our time, and simply accept the fact she is a fake wannabe author who is anything but that. If she stopped writing she would be doing all of us a huge favor, seriously folks! Again save your money and time, and do not buy nor read this book...she also makes several grammar mistakes throughout her book and the plot goes dead withing the first chapter. This book should not be called Save Me, instead should be called Save Me From Africa Fine, Please God. I mean seriously, when will she ever be on the NY Best Sellers list...don't think she will be.

Why do people who can't write go ahead and continue to wrote when all they are doing is acting like a big fool. Horrible Boring and Immature Book!
