There are only 3 songs on the cd, but it's been in my cd player on repeat for longer than I'd like to admit. I wasn't a huge Aimee Mann fan before this either. The only thing I've heard from her was Voices Carry. I bought this because I liked the song Save Me, but I totally fell in love with the other two tracks. Her lyrics are so well crafted and intelligent. A truly talented songwriter.

I love all the songs on this CD but the real treat for me is the video, which I've been playing on my PC's DVD player. The music video was directed by the film's director (Paul Thomas Anderson) and it's really well done. It features Aimee Mann singing "Save Me" in several scenes from the movie with all the key characters (e.g. on the game show set with the little boy, at the bar with Henry Gibson and the others, in the backseat of the policeman's squad car, with Tom Cruise during his interview, etc.)

I don't know how to describe this CD with any other word than PERFECT. The song Save Me is my favorite song of all times. Every time I hear it I feel like it has been written for me.
I guess this is the kind of song you can understand in different ways. But for me it's just perfect.
I can recommend this CD to anyone who has felt lost and lonely but never gave up hope.
