A Valuable Addition to Your Personal Defense Studies, October 27, 2006
This review is from: The Save-Your-Life Defense Handbook (Paperback)
"The Save-Your-Life Defense Handbook" by Matt Braun was written almost 30 years ago (published in 1977) but its information is perhaps even more valuable today.
Mr. Braun begins with a discussion of `Crime and Self-Defense'. Then there are chapters on:
>Home Security - discussing locks, alarms, and watch dogs.
>Hand-to-Hand Combat
>Gun Fighting
>Knife Fighting
"The Save-Your-Life Defense Handbook" discusses these topics from a common sense point of view. The book does teach `techniques', but it is more about mindset and the right attitude to keep yourself alive when confronted by a violent criminal. Although primarily text, "The Save-Your-Life Defense Handbook" contains several photographs that add to understanding the text. Overall the book is an easy read that will make you think and will add to your understanding of personal defense.
Mr. Braun concludes by saying that "crime prevention starts at home" and "every man has a moral obligation to defend family and home". If you believe this too, then "The Save-Your-Life Defense Handbook" is definitely a valuable addition to your library and personal studies.
