Customer Reviews

It's awesome that I get to watch any episode of Save by the Bell anytime I want.
Jeff Mendoza
And this cannot be the complete collection because the original Season 1 were the episodes with Miss Bliss.
Nathan
I just can't see a reason for anyone to buy this if they already have the individual season sets.

This review will not focus on the merits of this enduring TV series since anyone visiting this page already likes it enough to possibly buy it on DVD. Rather, this review will hopefully clear up the confusion regarding exactly what is being offered with this Complete Series Collection. Lionsgate originally released Seasons 1 & 2, Seasons 3 & 4, and Season 5 on DVD from 2003 to 2005. This 2013 Complete Series Collection simply repackages the exact same DVDs from the previous sets, with no additional re-mastering done. The picture is in its original full frame 1.33:1 aspect ratio while the audio is in 2.0 Dolby digital stereo, with the episodes arranged in order of air date and not storyline order. There are 13 discs total spanning all 5 seasons of 86 episodes, including a bonus disc of extras exclusive to this collection. Oddly, the Saved By the Bell: Hawaiian Style/ Wedding In Las Vegas movies are not included even though they were released on DVD by Lionsgate in 2007. As for the packaging, this collection comes in a thick cardboard outer sleeve housing two hard plastic cases, each about 1 inches thick with swing trays holding the discs. In terms of space, this occupies roughly half as much real estate as all the individual releases.

The bonus disc contains two newly produced featurettes examining the show's creation and impact.

Bought this for my wife who is 32 years old. We have both watched every episode of saved by the bell but she wanted this so she could watch them all over again in order. Its no different than the indiviual DVDS. The special features are worthless.

So, I knew that the Miss Bliss episodes weren't going to be on there, but this set up was not that good.
The episodes are sooooooo out of order. Even some of the seasons were mixed up. It's an ok set just to have, but annoying as all hell when it jumps around.

When I was little I would race home after school to watch this show with my big brother. I loved every episode, and now I am showing this series to my younger nephew's. As for the ''complete set'', I was a bit disappointed that the Hawaiian episodes, and wedding weren't included. But, I can purchase them later. If you're a fan of this series, I recommend this to ALL fans. I am a fan from the very beginning and I know you'll be too. Add this to your collection, you won't be sorry.

I just can't see a reason for anyone to buy this if they already have the individual season sets. This 'complete' collection is nothing more than repackaging in a slimmer case and is missing the made for TV movies. A real complete collection would give us all the episodes from Good Morning Miss Bliss (with or without the syndicated introductions), Saved by the Bell, and the College Years remasted and uncut. Give me that and I won't even need special features, hell, just give us Good Morning Miss Bliss and I'll be happy.

I bought this DVD just to have all of the episodes. I read the reviews and knew the episodes were out of order and the Bliss episodes and Hawaii and wedding episodes were not on there. However, after purchasing the "complete series," in found out season 5 is incomplete. It is missing the last three episodes. The one where Belding's wife goes into labor, the school song whee Zack tricks everyone so he can write the school song, and the graduation. I am highly disappointed.

I saved over $15 buy ordering the season dvd's individually. Don't waste money buying them all in the "complete set".
