4.0 out of 5 stars A Fitting End to a Fun Series, June 26, 2000
By
This review is from: Saved by the Bell - Wedding in Las Vegas [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This movie was a fitting end to a fun series. From when "Saved By The Bell" first came on the air in 1989 there was a magic to it. All of the cast went on to college, ("SBTB: The College Years") and this movie wrapped up the series. After many years of chasing Kelly (Tiffani-Amber), Zack (Mark-Paul) has finally convinced her into getting married. This movie follows their trek into Las Vegas for a quicky wedding (as neither of their parents approve). Along the way they get arrested, become male escorts, and get involved with the mob. It featured the return of all of the original series regulars and a guest appearance by Gilbert Gottfried. It features great acting by Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Tiffani-Amber Thiessen. If you are a fan of the series then this movie is a must for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars I'm so glad this is on video now!, July 6, 2000

Anyone who grew up in the 80's and 90's has more than likely watched Saved By the Bell. If you're like me, you were probably a pretty big fan. I was so excited when this TV movie originally aired on NBC, and now I'm twice as excited that it's on video. Zack and Kelly, the most popular students at Bayside High, finally getting married. Plus they include Screech, Slater, Lisa, Mr. Belding, and even Jessie (which is kind of neato since Elizabeth Berkeley was trying to shed her goody two shoes image by making Showgirls around the same time)! Anyway, it's a fun hour and a half, and well worth the money! Now, if only they'd release it on DVD!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, August 9, 2003

This review is from: Saved by the Bell - Wedding in Las Vegas [VHS] (VHS Tape)
If you grew up in the late 80's and early 90's, you probably watched Saved by the Bell. I'm in college now and have recently been going back to the stuff of my childhood, Saved by the Bell included. It amazes me to this day how everyone that comes in my dorm room and sees my Saved by the Bell tapes wants to borrow them, even in college! It seems that Saved by the Bell never got old with it's original fans. This just goes to prove that you can't keep a good series down.
Wedding in Los Vegas puts a terrific end to a terrific series. For me, and many of those I have viewed it with, it was the series coming full circle-SBTB was always about Zach, his schemes, and his relationship with Kelly. A marriage between the two seemed to seal it all. The movie had all the same elements to it that made the series such a success-a hairbrain scheme, a problem to overcome, a happy ending, and best of all-the entire original cast of regulars from the original class. It was really cool to see them all coming back together again one final time in the series' very final moments. I can't say any more than that it was the best ending that the series could have had.
