Great CD!,
By Borb Cobb (Alabama) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Saved By Grace (Audio CD)
This is the first project that features bass vocalist Gene McDonald. Gene has been voted 'Favorite Bass' recently by the Singing News Fan Awards that are given each year at the National Quartet Convention. You will see why on this album. Not only can Gene hit the very low notes that quartet basses are noted for, but he can sing a solo with a melodious pathos of a lead singer. In short, he is simply a good all-around singer, period. In addition, the featured cut, 'Sing Me a Song About Jesus,' will get your feet tapping and your heart rejoicing. Baritone Glen Allred, as usual, turns in a stellar performance. My favorite cut on the CD is 'I Have, I Can, I Will,' featuring bass Gene McDonald. This great song is worth the price of the CD itself.
