5.0 out of 5 stars To save their child, they needed to create another one!, June 13, 2004
This review is from: Saved By The Baby (Silhouette Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
Julianna Reynolds had left her small Oklahoma town behind ten years ago to pursue her dreams of being a model in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, she also left behind her heart behind with Tate McIntyre, a wild boy who had captured her soul. Five months after leaving Seminole County, Julianna discovered she was pregnant with Tate's baby - but Tate had already married another woman, and Julianna kept their baby to herself. That is, until one day when her daughter needed a bone marrow transplant - and Julianna was sure Tate would match and donate the bone marrow needed to save his secret little girl's life!

When Tate saw Julianna in his hometown again, he was floored. She was as gorgeous as ever, but Tate was completely changed. He was no longer the bad boy from the wrong side of the tracks, but the county's beloved sheriff. He's loved Julianna forever, but when she left him, his whole world collapsed and he made some huge mistakes. He's determined not to let her destroy him again, for surely she'll leave after the charity bone marrow donation she was organizing was through. But once Julianna learns that Tate is not a match for her child - she knows the only way to save her child is to tell Tate about his daughter, and ask him to help her create another baby!

I loved this book. Ms. Goodnight wrote so much emotion into the pages, you could almost feel it as soon as you picked up the book. Julianna was a totally wonderful heroine, full of grit and determination to save her daughter, and still harboring the love she had always felt for Tate. Tate was an exceptional hero, as well - he still carried a torch for Julianna, and as soon as he learned he had a daughter, he wanted to make up for lost time and be as involved with her as he could possibly be. The romance story of Julianna and Tate, combined with the heartbreaking ordeal of their young daughter as she struggles for her life, creates a story that you won't soon forget. Be prepared with tissues when you read this book - I cried profusely in a few different parts, and I'm not usually the type to shed many tears over books. This book is five stars all the way!

5.0 out of 5 stars TOUCHING - MOVING - THE WONDER OF LOVE, October 1, 2006

The bad boy of Seminole County, Oklahoma is a bad boy no longer, he is the very respected Sheriff. He goes out of his way to help the citizens of Blackwood.

Julianna Reynolds was known for her "leg" commercials. She would never have returned to Blackwood, Oklahoma if it were not for her daughter. She couldn't forgive the betrayal of Tate when he married another woman.

Tate McIntyre has alway felt that he was not good enough for Julianna so when she showed up he wanted nothing to do with her.

Julianna now finds out that possibly the only way to save her daughter is to have another child. But was it morally right to conceive a child for the purpose of saving another? This thought bothered her. Yet Tate was willing only if she married him. He refused to allow his children to be illigetimate. Of course he used the other word.

Julee knew she would do anything for save her beloved daughter, Megan - to bad grandma claimed that Megan's father was dead when they moved to L.A. Megan was thriving on Tate's attentions and farm.

They are married - trying to get pregnant - elections for Sheriff is looming - both agree when the baby is born there will be a divorce - more misunderstandings - Julee is offered a hot "maternity" commercial - but what is most important? She soon discovers the most important events in her life. And teaches Tate just how important he is.

A wonderful story covering an intense issue with characters that act very morally in respect to their children - but did it have to take so long to consider a third child??????

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED -- DEFINITELY A KEEPER!
