Saved, Single, Selibate ... and Waiting on God

This is indeed an excellent topic for a book and
I'm hopeful that our youth will consider the option
of celibacy.

The author's travails are unfortunate and it's very courageous of her to tackle such a sensitive subject. The deterioration of
the relationship with her former best friend was very sad, especially since they are both Christians. It caused me to ponder how people can grow apart when one finds a loving relationship, ultimately marries and the other does not. That shouldn't signal the end of a genuine friendship.

After reading this book several times, each time showed me a different blessing. You could not help but empathize with this sister. The pain of waiting, as well as the ups and downs of friendships. The Holy Spirits' presence was definitly felt. This book is a must share for ALL WOMEN(married,single,young,mature).

This book was pretty good although I though the author could have shared a bit more about her experiences. I could truly relate this woman because of my own testimony with this issue. I commend her for writing and sharing her story in this manner.

Thank God for this author, she dared to broach this subject, on celibacy. I read this book and loved it, and I plan to re-read the book, (its an easy read). I truly sympathized with the author regarding her ex-best friend. I had a very similar experience with one of my sorority sisters and the pain is still in my heart. After finishing Ms. Shepherd's book, I now realize that I must forgive my friend and move on, I believe God has better friends and relationships ahead of me and my life.
