5.0 out of 5 stars I love this book!, May 22, 2007

This is one of my favorite books ever. Slater's commentary on modern life is right on. For instance, he describes the sound of machines as if they are screaming in pain. I never thought about that before, but I sure did afterwards.

5.0 out of 5 stars I wish Mr. Slater wrote more novels, October 31, 1997
This review is from: How I Saved the World (Paperback)
I enjoyed this story a great deal. Slater makes fun of many things that cry out for deflation amd treats as serious such things as astral projection and other similiar phenomena. He creates a world with vast occult conspiracies manipulating events and people through magic and witchcraft and throws in a couple of innocents with prodigal powers. The events that unfold are unpredictable and funny. Read this if you can find it.
