This review is from: Saving All My Lovin' (Kimani Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
I really enjoyed reading this book because the storyline and the characters were so much fun. This is Book 2 of the Pause For Men series. Ms. Hill's descriptions of Michael, Sterling, Terrance, Ron, Tony, and Wil...Hubba-Hubba-Hubba!!! Some of these men are in Book 1 as well. Barbara, Ann Marie, Stephanie, and Elizabeth are women in their 40s with jammin libidos and I think it's such a welcome change. Mature women want love too. I highly recommend this novel to readers out there. Oh, before I forget, check out the love scene between Wil and Barbara---WHOA!!!

SAVING ALL MY LOVIN' by Donna Hill
September 26, 2007 Amazon Rating: 4/5 stars This is the 2nd in a series of books featuring four African American women who are best friends and have gone into business together. In the first book, they agree to open up a salon and spa for men, called PAUSE FOR MEN. In the 2nd book, SAVING ALL MY LOVIN', they officially open up for business. The main focus this time is on Ann Marie Dennis, a Jamaican born single woman who raised a daughter on her own. What the other women do not know is that she never formerly divorced her scum of a husband, Terrance, and now he's decided to come back into her life, traveling from Jamaica to New York to seek her out. He has an agenda of his own, but tells Ann Marie that he wants his family back and still loves her. In the meantime, Ann Marie's relationship with her daughter Raquel is at an all time low, and now that they know Terrance is coming to meet them, Raquel wants her father back in her life, a man she has never met before. Ann Marie however does not want Raquel to know the history behind her relationship with Terrance. Barbara, who met a much younger man in the first book, is now engaged to the successful NBA player. However, she's having some doubts about their relationship. When her old boyfriend Wil and his son Chauncey show up at the salon, Barbara nearly has a heart attack. Wil was the man she had intended to be with forever, but because of something that had happened years ago, she left him without a goodbye. Now, she has to face her past, and finds that maybe she can have a second chance with him, before it's too late. I enjoyed revisiting these four women and cannot wait for the next book in the series, which will feature Stephanie and Tony.

You talking about laughing, if you want a good laugh for the summer grab you a copy. It's a wonderful book that you don't want it to end.

Just when she thought that she was on the highway to happiness with being co-owner of a popular menâ(tm)s spa and with Sterling Powers, a handsome beau seeking her attention; Ann Marie Dennisâ(tm) life took a nose dive for the worst. First, her imperious ex resurfaced claiming his undying love and his quest to reunite their marriage. And, if that wasnâ(tm)t enough to deal with, Raquel, Ann Marieâ(tm)s adult daughter, is giving her hell because she felt that Ann Marie had deprived her of her father while she was growing up and she couldnâ(tm)t understand why her mother wasnâ(tm)t providing a much more warming welcome with him if nothing else than for Raquelâ(tm)s benefit.
Secrets from the past have found there way to the present reeking havoc on Ann Marieâ(tm)s developing blissfulness. She feels torn between two men â" one who could make her body remember joyfulness from the past and the other who sets her soul on fire with lustful desire with just one look. Will Ann Marie choose the right man before it is too late or has her indecisiveness caused her to lose her one true love? Saving All My Lovinâ(tm) is book two in Donna Hillâ(tm)s Pause for Men series and what a wonderful edition it turned out to be. The series entails four forty-something women looking for a second chance at love. While all four women were showcased in Saving All My Lovinâ(tm) the spotlight greatly shined on Ann Marie. I loved the way she slipped into her Jamaican accent when things became heated. Sterling oozed great sex appeal â" he was tall, dark and handsome. What woman could resist that?! The chemistry between Ann Marie and Sterling was instantly passionate from the first moment they met and remained hot until the very end. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. This is the second book in Pause for Men series. Some what disappointed because it includes all the women and their man drama. You can easily forget which couple the book is supposed be focusing. Currently reading the next book in the series simply because I like finish a series.
