Format: Paperback
U.S. Representative Tom Price (GA) posits that the United States will soon be gripped by totalitarian rule. We can be spared this fate, however, by a return to True American Principles. Behind it all was Franklin Delano Roosevelt and his New Deal. Federal spending totalled less than $4 billion in 1931. But with FDR onboard, annual deficit spending rose to $7 billion in 1934, more than $9 billion by 1940 and about $91 billion by 1944. Looks bad. Looks alot like neo-totalitarian squandering of national treasure. Maybe it's just me, but thinking about those calamitous years, the '30s and '40s, it could be that FDR was digging in with all the powers of his office to end the Great Depression and to pay for World War II.
