5.0 out of 5 stars SIMPLY WONDERFUL!!!!!
What can I say: I just loved it. This book was so real-like. Once I got past the beginning with all the preliminaries, it was on from there. Ryan Phillips did an awesome job with this book. I became attached to all the characters. I felt their emotions and feelings.

I was sick with the flu right along with Grace, I was upset with Trina for spreading lies...

3.0 out of 5 stars A break from the norm!
It was refreshing to read a book that is centered on God and that reminds us that he is the only person able to fill those empty voids in our lives. In my opinion the book was sweet and endearing different than most. I so enjoyed reading about their everyday life's and I loved the characters and the dialog between them.I strongly recommend this book if you are looking for...

5.0 out of 5 stars SIMPLY WONDERFUL!!!!!, March 10, 2005
This review is from: Saving Grace (Paperback)
What can I say: I just loved it. This book was so real-like. Once I got past the beginning with all the preliminaries, it was on from there. Ryan Phillips did an awesome job with this book. I became attached to all the characters. I felt their emotions and feelings.

I was sick with the flu right along with Grace, I was upset with Trina for spreading lies. I was mad at Mike for not wanting to hear Gracie's side of the story. I was disgusted with the trainer for forcing himself on Grace. I was there with young Mike in the garage just looking for a place to sleep for the night. I was surpised at how nice Mike's place was. I helped Grace break some of her things in her room at the devastating news she received. In other words, I WAS THERE!! I was a silent witness character in every scene through the entire book.

I just simply loved it. It is by far my favorite book. I have passed it on and have received similar response. I could not put the book down. I knew I had to get up early the next morning to go to work, but I stayed up and finished the book. I risked being late the next day which I was. But it was well worth it.

There is not a dull moment in the book. There are surprises and treats in every chapter on every page up to the last word. When I finished the book I was looking around for more. I was completely hooked on Saving Grace.

Ryan Phillips this is certainly a job well done. I can't wait for the next one. Please hurry up. If it is anything like or better than Saving Grace, I know that I am in for a phenomenal reading. My chair, pillow and lamp are all set waiting. May God continue to bless and endow you with creative, innovative, compelling, and heart moving writings.

~~~I think that this is enough for now. I'll save something for the nexr book's review ~~~
4.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful!, January 7, 2007
This review is from: Saving Grace (Paperback)
I picked this up from the library and I really enjoyed it. It's a thick book, but it kept me engrossed all the way through. The storyline covered what I would say is a common road that one travels on their way to finding Christ: ups and downs, tragedies, it's all there. Even though Grace was surrounded by Christians, it was a path she had to embark on for herself. Great story. Don't pass this up.
5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome and Gifted Writer, March 8, 2006
Ryan Phillip is extremely talented and her writing skills had me stuck in this book. I fell in love with Grace's realness at some time or another we have felt like her (dealing with trying to please your friends, boyfriend, job, weight issues) or we know someone who has felt like her. I love how it was a realistic love story, nothing happened fairy tale-ish but it was a very romantic love story still. I fell in love with Mike (until...well you have to read the book- smile) and I connected with Trina because I know people like her, who become saved and become so engrossed in being saved that they forget that being a Christian is about love and relationships, with the most important being your relationship with God and then others. Trina took it to another level and I was ready to jump through the book and strangle her many, many times. But there are many baby Christians who act this way because of lack of full knowledge and understanding. Christianity is not a clique that you exclude others and make them feel not worthy, Jesus never did that. Back to the book, I loved Grace from start to finish even through all of her mistakes, this book was WONDERFULLY written and I am praying that Ryan will continue on this path because God has really given her an AWESOME gift, and I am even going to go there and say that she is the best writer I have ever read and I read many books. Please buy and read this book, you won't be disappointed!
I've read this book 3 times since it was released last year. I truly wish there were more stars so that I could rate the book higher. Ryan Phillips has a great way of blending God's love with-in the relationships of the character's. It is a very inspirational story. I was extremely surprised to learn that this was her first book!! It seems to be written on the level of a person who has been in the business for YEARS with a lot of experience!!! I am waiting and anticipating Phillips' next novel "After the Fall", I'm sure it will be as great as this one!!!
5.0 out of 5 stars a refreshing blessing, January 12, 2005
This review is from: Saving Grace (Paperback)
I was given this book at point during my spiritual journery.
This book further cemented my direction towards Christ. This book was well written, cited bible verses but didn't beat you over the head with scriptures. It addressed many of the temptations that women face today as they grown and seek guidance towards God. I recommend this book for anyone seeking a good read.
When i saw this book in borders, something about it intrigued me. I had a 12 hour shift to do at work (which consists of sitting all day) and i was able to finish the entire book. For a new, young author, she did a great job! I would recommend this book to everyone! It was very well written and the characters were very interesting. Towards the end I had to stop myself from crying. Great book!!!
I so enjoyed reading this book. I read it all in one afternoon, I couldn't put it down. The characters were intriguing, the story was well written and not as predictable as a lot of Christian books I've read. I guarantee that you will enjoy this book.
