Book Description

Elvis Presley saves a young boy from a menacing stranger after a performance in 1956, setting up a chain of events that ultimately leads to a mystical encounter with an angel who sends Elvis on a journey that changes his destiny. The young boy grows up into a rich and powerful man who forces Elvis to confront the demons of his addictions. There are many threads to this story, such as the involvement of Johnny Cash to help orchestrate the plan while a down-and-out reporter investigates the mystery of Elvis' death, getting too close to the truth. As the tale unfolds, the reader will be pulled back to the days when the King of Rock 'n' Roll held court from his throne.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hail to the King! December 24, 2013
By Phil
Format:Kindle Edition
Leave it to two unknown authors to come up with such a unique and entertaining storyline that kept me turning from page to page asking, "Why couldn't this really have happened"? Those old enough to remember where they were when JFK was assassinated will also remember where they were when The King died, two American icons that had much more to offer. The authors descriptive flow was that of seasoned writers and kept me hungry for the next chapter. Thanks for the story that anybody can enjoy be they Elvis fans or not.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Way It Should Have Been ! December 21, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Let me start by saying if you're an Elvis fan, GET THIS BOOK! Well worth the small price !

Elvis fans will find this book one of the most enjoyable reads they've had in a LONG time!

The story really draws you in and gives you the flavor and experiences of the time it's set in. Elvis's Memphis, circa the 1970's, is full of colorful people and places that will keep you turning the pages to see what's just around the next corner or plot twist!

The conclusion is both satisfying and uplifting. A great read! :)

This is a great book, Elvis fan or not. I didn't want it to end. For me, that's what makes a great book. Great story and it makes you wonder where E would be today if someone had stepped in and saved him. Way to go Christine & George!

5.0 out of 5 stars An Amazing Heartfelt Journey! July 18, 2014
By Dee R
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
As a child I grew up listening to Elvis through my father's 45's. Since then I have been an Elvis fan, so I was naturally very excited to come across this story. This brought up many memories during that time in my life. From the beginning of the book all the way through the end I honestly had a hard time putting it down. I actually read the book in one day.

The storyline was told in an interesting format, what could have happened, and how Elvis may have been saved. It starts with Elvis saving someone in his lifetime, and then the favor is returned. Throughout the whole story you are pulling for him and all the characters in the story. This is a feel good book, but also has you wondering the whole time what will be next. I enjoyed learning more about this time, Elvis, and the actual journey Elvis and his family went through. With the help of the wonderful characters in the book, they must help Elvis to overcome his addictions, even faking his death. He must realize what is important in his life, and to overcome the sadness of losing his mother.

In the ending of this story there is a surprise twist. Honestly I shed a few tears with this story. I highly recommend 'Saving the King', even if you are not a big Elvis fan , everyone can benefit from reading this story.

5.0 out of 5 stars Take my advice and buy it, you won’t regret it! September 12, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
Saving The King, a fictional story about Elvis Presley. I can conclude that if you love Elvis, that you will love this book also. Because it’s a fictional story, it gives you a satisfaction to read it and once you start reading you don’t want to put it away.

The world was shocked and still is about the death of Elvis, this book gives you a “comfortable” feeling because it gives you a perspective view from Elvis himself. Notice that I don’t want to say that I am comfortable with Elvis his dead, but once you read it you will understand.

The authors George and Christine did years to write this amazing book. If we talk about the costs from this book, it is cheap. So this shouldn't be the reason to not buy this book.

Once you read this book, you never want to go back anymore. But if you also know that they are planning to make a movie from this book (and they are already far with it), you really want to be a part of Saving The King.

Take my advice and buy it, you won’t regret it!

- King Elvis Presley
