Captivated from the Beginning!,
By Ann (Chicago, IL) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Saving Tampa (Paperback)
This book was excellent. It had me captivated in suspense from the beginning as the author immediately unveils the psychic power of the Rachel Cunningham, one of the lead characters.
The author does a wonderful job describing people, places and things making it easy for the reader to develop the story in their mind. This author really knows how to throw in a little romance and humor as well. 'Be still my beating heart' would describe the romance that develops between Ms. Cunningham and Hawk. This is an excellent book! I can't wait for the next one to be published.

For Those That Love Romantic Suspense This One Is A Must Read!,

This review is from: Saving Tampa (Paperback)
Rachel Cunningham hated having psychic ability because it made her life abnormal and stressful. While out walking she accidently bumps into a strange man. The instant she touches the man who reeks of pure evil she sees thousands of deaths. Rachel has always faced those that didn't believe in her ability but she knows she must make the FBI believe her. For many lives are at stake. Special Agent Arron is a doubter and thinks she is doing this for publicity. But his own conscience won't let him ignore her. When Rachel quickly identities an Al Qaida cell leader, Arron put his career at risk and issue a alert. Together they race against time to prevent this terrible deed from being done. Along the way they risk more then their life. They risk their hearts. Will the terrorists' succeed, or will Rachel and Arron find what is needed to Save Tampa. From the moment you start reading Saving Tampa you won't be able to put it down. The heroine and hero were loveable and the villians chilled your heart. The ending will have you sitting on the end of your seat and cheering for them to win. Saving Tampa sent a chill up my spine and touched my heart as well. I highly recommend this book!!

Saving Tampa by Jo Webnar
Saving Tampa is very well written; the story is engaging and keeps you on your toes. The story is starkly realistic, and you can really feel the Heroine Rachel's conflict. The Hero Special Agent Arrons is almost immediately endearing. Poor Rachel, has all her life "seen" things and she "sees" something major after being bumped by an unsavory guy. I am not normally a contemporary fan but Jo Webnar has turned that around. I cannot wait to read more of this talented author's work.

Saving Tampa is an outstanding read. The characters, Rachel Cunningham [psychic] and Hawk Arrons,[FBI Special Agent] are well defined. Mrs. Webnar has done an excellent job on the plot as well--giving us a believable story with no need for suspension of disbelief. It all fit together nicely, and I was impressed. The twists and turns in this thriller keep you turning the pages. I hope to read more of Jo Webnar--an up and coming writer, for sure. This reviewer gives her an two thumbs up!

Super Suspense,
By Gerri Bowen "Gerri Bowen, author." (Hanover, PA USA) - See all my reviews

Saving Tampa grabbed me in the beginning and did not let go until the end. I wanted more.
Rachel Cunningham has a psychic ability, which she has used to help police. She moved to Florida for peace and anonymity, but an accidental touch by a man at mall leads her to fear an awful threat is planned, with death for thousands the intended result. Special Agent Arrons of the F.B.I. is not happy about being assigned to interview her, nor is Rachael pleased with his attitude. Before long though, the threat is deemed real and Arrons is assigned to her. The attraction between Arrons and Rachael increases, as does her psychic visions about the terrorists. The more you learn about Arrons and Rachel, the more you root for them to get together. The more you learn about the main terrorist, the more you want him stopped in time. Saving Tampa is a fast-paced read, a real page-turner. I enjoyed the main characters, how they developed into people I liked, and especially Ralph, the beer guzzling German shepherd. I hope to read more books like these from the author. Maybe a series with these characters? I highly recommend Saving Tampa.

Loved the main characters, loved the dog (hopefully it was alcohol-free beer), loved the story.
Curl up with this book on a rainy afternoon, make sure you've cleared your calendar, order pizza/Chinese for dinner, and read the book in one go. It's that good. Hoping to read more from this author.

Psychic Barriers to True Love!,
By
This review is from: Saving Tampa (Paperback)
What if you knew something horrible was going to happen but you could prevent it, would you tell someone? Sure, we all would. What if you saw it in a vision and had no proof? Would you risk your credibility to come forward? These are the questions at the heart of Saving Tampa, an on-the-edge-of-your-seat thriller from Jo Webnar.
Rachel Cunningham is a young woman with a problem. She sees things that are happening, have happened or are about to happen. Her psychic ability has allowed her to help others but it also prevents her from having the kind of quiet normal life she longs for. When a stranger at the mall bumps into her, a connection forms between them giving her small glimpses into a terrorist plot that will kill thousands. Fearful of the ridicule she will face if she comes forward, but more afraid of the cost of her silence, Rachel contacts her brother, a police detective, for advice. Special Agent Hawk Arrons has his own problems with relationships and one of them is his boss. Threatened by Hawk's investigative abilities, the SAC gives Hawk the worst assignments and downplays Hawk's achievements. When Hawk is given the assignment to interview Rachel, he senses his career is about to take a major hit in the credibility department. After their disastrous first meeting, Hawk checks into the pretty blonde's background and finds that she is the real thing. Reluctantly at first, the two join forces to try to prevent a biohazard attack that could wipe out the State of Florida . As they follow the twists and turns of a terrorist's mind, Rachel and Hawk discover that in Saving Tampa, they are also saving themselves. Jo Webnar has written a wonderful suspense that is as timely as it is entertaining. Reviewed by Mairead Walpole on December 22, 2008
