From Library Journal
Tax specialist Stemmy here provides entrepreneurs with guidelines for the many tax decisions they will face. He covers all types of businesses (sole proprietorships, general partnerships, corporations, etc.), including 1993 revisions of the tax code in his assessment. Stemmy's sound understanding of the tax code is evident in his discussions of business expenses, tax shelters, record keeping, retirement planning, and other subjects that many entrepreneurs often delegate to their tax advisers. Unfortunately, the writing is sometimes cumbersome, and the examples do not always clarify complicated tax issues. In addition, it would have been helpful to include cross references to specific Internal Revenue Service Code sections when explaining tax laws, as does Gary Maydew's Small Business Taxation Planning and Practice (Commerce Clearinghouse, 1991). Appropriate for public libraries.
