This three song CD is a welcome addition to the arsenal of Christmas recordings available. "Saving Up Christmas", written by Sue Ennis - songwriting maven best known for her songs with Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart, is a true tear-jerker. The song tells the tale of a wife and her children left beind at Christams time while her husband is fighting in Iraq. It's a poingant song done marvelously by Toni Tennille - who is so versatile she can sing just about any style of song and make it her own. This song should surely catch on and render airplay - - it's that good. The next tune, "Tahoe Snow", penned by Toni, is a classic Captain & Tennille-sounding song about the fun and beauty of the Lake Tahoe area at Christmas - Winter time. It's a very catchy tune and you'll be humming the chorus long after it's over. The final song, "Here Comes Santa Claus", is known to all and performed as an instrumental by Darly Dragon. He put's his own unique spin on it and it's a big success. If you like C & T's brand of music - or good holiday music in general - then get this now!!

"Saving up Christmas" is a touching song about a man going off to war and his family is waiting for him to come home at Christmas time. The way the world is today, I am sure we all have many family members and friends in the military fighting for Peace! We should adopt this song as our Special Holiday Anthem. I Salute Toni & Daryl for recording this song!!! There are also 2 more songs on the cd, an instrumental by the Captain and a cute catchy "pop" tune called "Tahoe Snow" which was written by Toni Tennille for the kids.....Keep an Eye out for the Forthcoming "THE SECRET OF CHRISTMAS" by the Captain & Tennille. It's a 14 song christmas cd...You are in for a treat. I don't care for this song for two reasons: (1) it doesn't have an identifiable melody or "hook" that connects with the listener and, accordingly, misses the mark as a great holiday pop tune; and (2) Toni's performance is overly emotional.

I am a fan of Captain & Tennille, but this single is not among their best work.

Heard this playing before a movie at a Kersotes Cinema.

It made me want to plunge the straw into my ear so it would stop.

The female singer was completely tone deaf, and the background music sounded like canned karoke.

I heard this song while waiting to see a movie at AC Theaters.
Ouch.

I need not say more.
