This review is from: Saving What Remains: A Holocaust Survivor's Journey Home to Reclaim Her Ancestry (Hardcover)
I had read the first of a trilogy (I Lived A Thousand Years) written by Livia Bitton-Jackson and was moved by this teenagers faith, love and determination as she lived and survived the Holocaust. I read 'Bridges of Hope' and 'Hello America' which followed her life as she left her homeland and started her life in America. The book, 'Saving what Remains', was written years later when Bitton-Jackson's aged mother requests for the return of the remains of her parents to their Isreali homeland. Excellent read.
