This is my prolapse bible,
By Louise (Australia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Saving the Whole Woman 2nd Edition: Natural Alternatives to Surgery for Pelvic Organ Prolapse and Urinary Incontinence (Paperback)
This book is my prolapse bible, because it is very well illustrated and has enabled me to understand my own pelvic region and organs better than any other book I have read. The second edition is worth getting for its dance workout and an improved chapter on pelvic anatomy. I have significant prolapses, and after following Christine's techniques for several years I hardly ever notice them any more.

Christine Kent has put together one of the only resources on a subject that a lot of women deal with. She provides insight, support and specifics on how to live with a prolapse. Her book is a must for women who are trying to heal themselves

A must have for any woman considering pelvic surgery.,
By Love42 (Los Angeles, CA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Saving the Whole Woman 2nd Edition: Natural Alternatives to Surgery for Pelvic Organ Prolapse and Urinary Incontinence (Paperback)
This is an important book in the world of pelvic health literature. It's the first book I've read on the subject that offers an historical prospective on the cons of pelvic floor surgery. At the same time there is a lot of information about the female anatomy and how proper posture can really make a difference in ones quality of life while living with organ prolapse.

This is a book that every woman should read. It's the best book about natural alternatives for POP you can find.

Mauled by new age tripe,
By BUM HEAD (AUSTRALIA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Saving the Whole Woman 2nd Edition: Natural Alternatives to Surgery for Pelvic Organ Prolapse and Urinary Incontinence (Paperback)
There might be some merit in the central thesis of this book but it is clouded by the most awful new age tripe imaginable. I checked out when the author used a centaur to illustrate a point of anatomy. Others with more stamina may be able to wade through these (and other) nonsensical analogies but I couldn't even manage a chapter.

Tossed it in the garbage,
This review is from: Saving the Whole Woman 2nd Edition: Natural Alternatives to Surgery for Pelvic Organ Prolapse and Urinary Incontinence (Paperback)
I tossed my in the garbage.
I don't trust her radical viewpoints. Read with care and take into account the author's personal experience, her education, her motives. Its very 'anti-doctor' which i don't support. |
