5.0 out of 5 stars Classic, November 24, 2011
This review is from: Savior: Celebrating the Mystery of God Become Man (MP3 Download)
This has got to be the most underrated album in existence. (I didn't even know it was a Christmas album until I was halfway through listening to it.) The amazing thing is that it's written and sung by people you've never heard of, but their performance is as good as the best of any Christian artist out there. According to the Sovereign Grace website, Kyle Davis doesn't even lead worship at his own church - he leads worship at a small group! Shannon Harris should be be singing for a major label... Probably the only way you'll hear about this is if, like me, a friend tells you about it. I also recommend Valley Of Vision.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, November 12, 2011
We love this cd and can listen to it over and over, all year long.

Christ-centered lyrics, excellent musical arrangements - one of our family's very faves.

Sleep, Jesus, Sleep - beautiful.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the Top Christmas Albums Out There, December 26, 2010
By
There are no doubt many great Christmas albums out there, but this one is certainly worthy of mention. It is probably one of the more underrated under-noticed Christmas albums around. One of the reasons for that would no doubt be that you will not find traditional Christmas songs on this album. They decided to chart a fresh course and write 12 new songs celebrating the mystery of God become man.

And they did a fabulous job. The music is great. The lyrics are amazing. They are faithful to their aim. These songs help us to worship Jesus as God become man to die for sinners. Many of the songs are so simple in their language yet profound in their meaning. Lines like the following make up this great Christ-centered album:

Emptied of His majesty

He comes in human form

Being's source begins to be

And God is born

All our griefs He'll gladly share

All our sins He'll fully bear

He will cover our disgrace

And suffer in our place
